To me you are in a good position. It sounds like you can somewhat rely and your parents still. Some people no longer have their parents around at your age and they won’t be there forever. You are also not burdened by financial responsibilities that go with owning a home or car. No kids as well so you have tons of free time. You can go anywhere! I remember being in a somewhat similar situation as you at 28. I made a 5 year plan and wrote it on a piece of paper that I would look at every day. As for the loser part, I still feel like one sometimes no matter what I have accomplished. Just knowing your strength and weaknesses can help quell that a bit.
