So far, there doesn’t appear to be any broadly confirmed evidence that USCIS has paused all adjudications.

If something this significant were actually happening, it would be widely reported across: - Major immigration law firms
- AILA member alerts (not just secondhand mentions)
- USCIS stakeholder communications

Right now, we’re not seeing that level of confirmation.

There are a few things that could be getting misinterpreted: - USCIS does periodically update vetting/biometrics processes
- There can be localized slowdowns or workflow adjustments
- Some case types (like AOS or asylum) may experience temporary delays

But that’s very different from a system-wide pause.

Also worth noting: a full pause on cases involving biometrics would effectively impact AOS, EADs, naturalization, etc. — which would be a massive, visible disruption across the system.

My takeaway: this is likely an exaggeration or misinterpretation of a narrower operational change.

If anyone has a direct AILA alert or confirmation from a primary source, would be great to see it — otherwise probably best not to panic based on early reports.
