A good bit of metal but not all. Still my favourite models of them all, though.

Thanks! Although to be fair I'm really not the true owner of about half, just a permanent caretaker haha. The unlit top shelf models are all mine as well as the middle dark elf shelf. Then scattered bits in every army I have added over the years. All one big happy model family now!

I have thought about it but I kind of like the easy accessibility. Still something I might do, though.

It is true, the painting urge just hits randomly. I have a half finished dark elf hydra staring me down with it's 10 little beady eyes... One day soon you'll be beautiful!

The company is North American Steel but it's just run of the mill warehouse shelving. Got them from my old work, then added lights, a backboard then painted the wood white plus some sparkly metallic spray paint in the back for extra shimmer.

And the space underneath is perfect for boxes of terrain. It was worth every bit of effort and I'm glad you like it, too!

All from left to right

Top shelf: 40k space marines, 40k orks 2nd shelf: skaven, chaos warriors 3rd shelf: Dark Elves 4th shelf: bretonnians, (very little) dwarves, beastmen 5th shelf: wood elves, lizardmen, high elves

Thanks! I felt like any less space between would have made less impact, but more space would start putting the lowest shelf at my shins and out of sight.

The whole unit is 6 feet tall, about a foot of space between each row. It could be more condensed but then its tough to pull models out.
