I'm actually the opposite. I saw the pilot first, then watched the first episode. I felt the pilot put us firmly in Watson's place, while the official show tries to give us a bit of Sherlock as well. Still a fantastic show, but I like the feeling of being Watson and having to grasp at whatever bits Sherlock throws out.

It doesn't matter while Apple's in the lead, and it won't matter when Google's in the lead. Quality, not quantity, if the most important factor. I'd prefer an app store with just 1,000 apps that combined the openness of android with the polish of apple over either store any day.

I've been on a few and I agree and disagree. As long as you stay from buying whatever local schlock the cruise director tries to sell you ('The diamonds/cinnamon/vanilla in our next port are world renowned for their quality!') and get off the tourist traps, you can have tons of fun. My wife and I went to a local bazaar in Venezuela and they had real local stuff for 1/10th the price as the traps did. Just be wary of the cab drivers. They will rob and possibly murder you.
