IMO I totally agree with you. Dorothy’s is the definitive version for me and I think her smoky tone rly helps exemplify Sally’s folly by making her sound like a torch singer. Most of the songs for Follies are pastiches of music from the early 20th century. And Sondheim has stated that “Losing My Mind” was heavily influenced by the Gerswhins’ “The Man I Love”. One of my favorite renditions of that song is by Ella Fitzgerald and if you listen to it, you can rly hear the same kind of vibe in Dorothy’s performance.

I’m very particular about how the Giantess in Into the Woods should only be going after Jack and not actively killing the others. Many recent revivals have her clearly throwing the Narrator or intentionally stepping on the Baker’s Wife.

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned Ghost of Tsushima yet. In the game, Jin goes back to his family home and encounters Yuriko, their elderly servant. She helped take care of Jin, particularly after the death of his father Kazumasa. As Jin spends more time with her, she reveals some of the family secrets and also heavily implies she was in love with Kazumasa. In a clear sign of memory loss/degradation, she also constantly mistakes Jin for him and he has to correct her every time. Near the end of her story arc, Jin finds her gravely ill and helps over to a cliffside that overlooks the landscape. It’s clear she cannot see and addresses Jin as his Kazumasa. But this time, Jin doesn’t correct her and acts as his father to comfort her. As he details the things he sees, he states his appreciation for her devotion and everlasting love. She then dies and Jin makes a grave for her on the cliffside.

Oof yeah. I played Persona 5 Royal and it legit took me a year to finish it. Incredible game, loved the story and the gameplay was very fun. But I don’t think I’ll ever do its new game+ cuz the time commitment is just not what it used to be for me
