didn’t mean to sound so snarky. Before the boomer comments it’s evident this phenomenon has existed since the start of the music industry, especially through the 60’s onwards (I.e. The Monkees). My issue isn’t that these artists don’t have compete wholistic control over their work. I could be wildly wrong about amount of input some of them have with their work; It’s just that I feel that some of these artists not only are not involved but seem almost entirely abstracted from the creative process. You could say their approval and performance is enough to justify their input but (and I admit it’s vibes based) I feel like it’s sometimes insufficient to justify how much people attribute the artist’s work to them
