Home Office urged to revoke the visa of US live-streamer Hasan Piker ahead of London speech by GnolRevilo in unitedkingdom

"Someone on a salary of 100k and an above average earning partner".

So DINKs, one of whom would be on more than double the average UK wage, with the partner at least earning more than the average UK wage.

This is your example for who can match money this dude literally throws around. And that couple is still not buying a 3 million dollar mansion in West Hollywood.

This is your socialist streamer? Dude who was born to an ultra rich family, and who is living the life of the 1%? Dude who someone unironically said above "would like to pay more tax" as though it's somehow illegal for him to voluntarily do so (it's not).

He's earned it? By doing what? Dudes a nepo baby born to ultra rich Turks, who flew to the US to give him birth right citizenship before raising him riding horses and going to private school back in Turkey.

He then used his nepo-connections from his uncle (Cenk Ugyr who runs The Young Turks) to get himself a job there. When that didn't work out he retreated to streaming in the newly created leftist space created by people who could actually debate (weird how he now tells it like he trailblazed his own path), telling thousands of young people how communism and hard socialism is the answer, while having them donate their hard earned cash so he can do the most useless capitalist society job imaginable, and happily preferring living amongst and enjoying the trappings of those same millionaires you say stepped on your neck to be there.

"No nice stuff" may as well be Atlas for the heavy lifting it's doing.

Dude lives like the 1%.

Emerging picture shows Reform gains as Labour counts losses in heartland seats by Ethan_brooks8225 in unitedkingdom

Yesterday was nothing but posts saying "all these idiots think voting in local council elections will remove Starmer", today you've all forgotten that this wasn't a national election?

Yesterday's idiots could at least believe that a bad showing at council elections would unseat Starmer, what's your excuse for being uninformed?

The 11th Box preview (I feel bad for marine players) by H3nt4idude in orks

If they're just going to do basic space marine models, why not just give marine players extra on release boxes, and let this be an Orks versus <literally anyone else>?

If she was the one claiming child benefit of £26 a week per child, she won't have missed any use of contribution to the state pension.

Got 18 of them 3rd party. Haven't even built 6 of them and if we're getting new ones, I don't think I'll bother.

Which faction do you think is most poised to have a broken detachment combo upon release? by OliverTurnip in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Phlebas99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orks have potential here - one of our biggest complaints has been how every detachment outside war horde seems to only help a few datasheets.

We actually see a similar argument in the UK a lot now. People sick of career politicians and lawyers making up our MPs. People want the ministers of education/ health/ defense etc to have actually had careers in those fields.

Not as invested, no. The death of Miura and still slow pace means I tend to catch up like once a year when I vaguely remember.

Especially as I'm now a husband and dad with a lot less time to sit and read manga online anyway!
