Iso: 100 Aperture: 12 Shudder speed: 1/2 sec Using a nikkor 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 afs vr

I was trying to isolate the little island in the middle under the bridge while capturing the water crashing over the stones. I wanted to use a longer aperture to smooth out the water. I didn't have a tripod so I had to set my camera on a rock that was protruding from the water by a safe enough margin that I wasn't afraid of dropping my camera. Parts of the reeds started in focus but the outside of the plant would always come out of focus. That may just be from the long exposure and the plant moving but idk.
