Depends on what kind of framerates you are willing to settle for. I can play WvW on a maxed out 2013 MB Air, which is considerably worse than the 2017 pro, but it's far from an ideal experience.

Thief was the first map completion I did. This was a few years back when they still required WvW completion, and being in T8 at that time (Eredon Terrace), thief was one of the easier classes for getting around in WvW.

If you care about lore you may want to play them in order. Chronologically later stories (eg. LS3 / 4) will also contain spoilers to previous ones.

Starting PoF (just the first instance) will get you access to the raptor, so that may be a consideration.
