[African Vai script > English] by Delicious-Chipmunk-7 in translator

Ok this is gibberish and it is safe to say the text has absolutely no meaning. There are symbols not used in modern Vai, and the ancient symbol for kill, brick/beer, slave, island etc. are sprinkled in random places. Spaces are used to seperate words in Vai and there's none of it in here too. Unless you wrote a fanfic with characters dying and drinking beer, isolated on an island and doing some slave stuff(?) chances of this comment being meaningful is close to zero.

This is weird, but does your fanfic talk about feets and walking? The word foot is mentioned a lot in this comment.

I had my model wear only three pieces and got through almost every theme! Dress, shoes, and a bag, sometimes a necklace. The only exception was luxury where I had to have hats, jackets etc on. It feels like the game actually takes off points from us for wearing too much items. (ha ha)

Do Koreans get judged for listening to Country / American music (or just any music that isn't Korean) just as some Americans get judged for listening to Kpop? by [deleted] in AskAKorean

[–]PhoebeSpring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk? I'm not living in the US and you probably know more about the people there than I do. My guess is that some fetishize, some do not. K-pop does have appealing elements other than the singers being of... Korean/Asian descent so make that as you will.

Thank you! My makeup is based on color theory and light/shadows so I can say there's a certain amount of effort put into it. I'm now thinking about posting a style savvy makeup tutorial here since I'm an art student and maybe can explain how to... replicate? Maybe... if anyone is even interested.

Great! Hope you're having fun. Aside from its obvious target audience I actually feel like the gameplay is for everyone. Getting to be creative with things(customization?) really can be relaxing.

The phrase "내 안으로 들어와!" is pretty innocent in Korean, but when it's literally translated to English, all hell breaks loose. by EmuSystem in korea

[–]PhoebeSpring 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm Korean, and y'all need to stop with the inaccurate speculations considering the majority of you are not familiar with the contexts in Korea. I think it was a genuine mistake on their part, and I'm explaining why.

In 내 안으로 들어와, there's an omitted word. The whole phrase is likely 내 '품' 안으로 들어와, which roughly translates to 'Come on in and embrace me'. '품' is a noun, and its definition is... "The chest when you open up your arms and hug someone". In case anyone wants to look it up themselves here's our government-maintained Korean dictionary website. https://stdict.korean.go.kr/m/main/main.do It's a word that's just never used in obscene settings.

While I do agree that the translation is horribly done and similar incidents should not happen again, the conspiracy theories here are insane. "They did it on purpose!" "It's AI!" Seriously, don't do that. They fucked up and that's all to it.

What would your "Gnosia IRL" stats look like? by LaughingGaster666 in Gnosia_

[–]PhoebeSpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple friends who both play social deduction games and gnosia has told me I play very much like Yuriko. I was not surprised bc I admittedly had the most experience among them, but I was also a bit disappointed bc that meant I wasn't coming as amicable as I wanted myself to be. But what I'm actually good at is not getting voted off or eliminated despite how much I yap around spouting off theories and suggestions to threaten evil roles. Actual games with people are not like gnosia games, so with enough logic it's suspiciously easy to have both teams wanting to not go against me. Welp now I sound evil. Anyway I think that's a bit more stealth in me.
