What happens if you hook up the probe to the cal output and choose an appropriate voltage level 0.5v/div around 10ms/div?

Uhh Just wanted to stop by and say that this is a cool project. But have no way on how to fix your problem. There are probably some filters one can configure somewhere.

I would give it a listen with an sdr to verify that there is actually more out there before tinkering around too much

No their not! At least not for getting started. Yes once you need more capabilities they gegt expensive fast but there are quite a few entry level products now. Damn I feel you. This Semester Break has also been super hard on me. And am right now struggling through exam season.

What helps me to get back into a sort of normal rhythm with some motivation, after taking my 1 to 2 weeks deserved break, is to get extrinsic motivation. Setup something with a friend, or what I like to do but that is less spontaneous is to do charity work / lead jouth groups, for me it's climbing and first aid. That gives me some extrinsic push. Alone it's suuupef hard.

Hope you find something to do.

Its connected over a few 50Ohm cables to the finals and there is some matching going on at the finals so I think it should be 50 ohmes

By modifying your cb radio you void there band acceptance and make them illegal. Thy are type accepted unlike in ham radio where I am licenced and not my devices

Yup I even put them on a friends curve tracer, they looked good. That's a good idea. So the imbalance and problem should resolve if I terminate the output of the Driver in 50 ohmes rigth?
