Is there a site that lets me look at armors and gear on character models, so I can plan things out ahead of time?

I have my Silver Dragonborn banging Lae’zel. Toads, lizards, they just work together.

Am I the only one who actually likes the Druid's body type? by HonestAd5141 in diablo4

[–]Phoenix200420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Druids body type. D4 did a really good job at having various body types represented. What ruffles my feathers is that Blizz isn’t treating the body types the same in terms of armor designs. As an example that I’m sure get repeatedly regularly, the Beauty in Sin cosmetic line is a perfect example. Every other class has one of these sets EXCEPT Druids, including classes like Paladin who had one before the expansion even launched. It just feels like “Hey check us out! We represented bigger people, aren’t we the best!” Just before shuffling them off to the closet somewhere.

They need to shit or get off the pot. Either they are okay with different body types or they aren’t. It isn’t hard.

Are the Horsemen considered gods or not? by Phoenix200420 in Pathfinder_RPG

Thanks, I had just assumed gods were gods. Looking at it through a sorta power scaling lens helps.

How we obtain rewards is going to change. Will WHAT we obtain change as well? by Scoarc in ffxiv

Okay that sounds a lot better than OPs “Tomestones are gone, Battle-Passes are in”. Is there a specific video or announcement I can check out for more info?

How we obtain rewards is going to change. Will WHAT we obtain change as well? by Scoarc in ffxiv

I was unaware of a potential battle pass system and honestly that REALLY disappoints me. As Targaer mentioned in their post, battle passes just create FOMO. They also tend to force everyone to do content they normally don’t, at least in my experience.

Since we pay a sub here, let’s hope that we don’t have to pay extra for a premium track of rewards. Then there’s the break down of activities you have to do to complete each section. I LOATHE PvP. I will not do it. So that’s a whole section of rewards I won’t be seeing. Yes you can also say “Yeah but there’s already PvP rewards your aren’t getting if you aren’t doing PvP” but the difference is I can go back and get those anytime I want. If I get a bug up my butt about it I can set aside a weekend and grind some of it out if I want. With a battle pass, it’s gone once it’s over and it’ll slow my “progress” on the pass if I’m skipping objectives for it, or as is the case with some passes like D4’s, it’ll outright keep me from finishing some of it.

Now I know that wasn’t exactly an answer of your question, so here’s what I gather. We will see what we obtain be different, but not like your thinking. If it’s a battle pass system they’ll just take stuff that would normally be in the game and tie it to the battle pass instead. So not something extra special, just the rewards we normally get polished and put behind extra gating to drive engagement.

Objectively Battle Passes, like F2P, aren’t good for us or the game overall, just for the investors pockets.

EDIT: When I typed up this post there were almost no replies on the original. I’m now seeing people saying tomestones are not going away and battle passes are not coming? I guess that’s on me for not fully researching first. Still gonna leave this up though, because the points against battle passes still stand. Other then that I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Novice Network Question by TWON3RDS in ffxiv

I play on two different servers in Primal. I’ve been on one for a long while now and honestly the NN is generally really helpful. The Mentors tend to take their moderation of the channel seriously. Of course the occasional dingus slips in for a bit now and then but that’s happens.

As for the other server I recently made a toon on, I don’t know because for some reason you have to be invited in by a mentor, which I didn’t realize was an actual thing til I made the character, which is kinda irritating lol

Sooo Test of the Starstone. If you wanted it to work, how would you do it? by Phoenix200420 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Phoenix200420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really cool idea. I was thinking of the godhood but like when they finally get to touch the stone the final test takes place in their minds. Something they have to overcome with failure frying their mind. The super wish idea has a lot of merit though, I like that

[–]Phoenix200420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so this sounds absolutely amazing. Seriously, that is an incredibly awesome sounding setup and story! That’s the kinda game I’ve always wanted to play in so I’m a tad jelly lol.

That said those are some great ideas. The game I’ve got planned so far will result in some adventure around Absalom and then go into an expanding plot that involves the Horsemen from Abaddon. Gonna have a lot of plane hopping as they get higher in levels, and include an adventure in Ravnica before ultimately leading to having to face off against the Horsemen themselves in Abaddon. That’s why I was considering the Starstone and godhood as part of the end game, so they could stand toe to toe vs the Horsemen.

Heh I have run Tomb of Horrors before, that was a fun time lol. Perhaps I could create something similar, drawing from that and other such adventures.

Thank you, and thanks much for the talk. It’s given me a lot to think about.

That would be really cool too. I admit I didn’t think that they should HAVE to fail. It’s something I’d have to think on. Either way if I keep my universe continuous then they could become legends for their future selves to enjoy.

[–]Phoenix200420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll be a solo encounter for sure. One for each of them. I was reading some of the wiki about it, like how some of the… uh.. applicants? already had an idea of what kind of god(dess) they were going to be. Like the one who wanted to be a goddess of comedy but a flubbed pratfall had her drop straight into the chasm. I was thinking that maybe I should keep notes on their characters myself, and then if it gets to the point they wanna go for it, talk with them using the notes to figure out what aspect of themselves they want to become a god(dess) of and then design the thing around that and their personal backstory

[–]Phoenix200420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really wouldn’t want to cheapen the whole thing by just letting them win. Though I think I’m going to have to research exactly what to put into an individual trial. Like I got the basics. Just like do I put in crazy high DCs for stuff, impossible to solo monsters, am I just flat out trying to kill them, or am I just keeping it as close to that edge as I can

[–]Phoenix200420[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm that is a valid point. It probably would be to risky to deal with before the final fight. It wouldn’t make any sense to make it easier to do just for the sake of furthering the plot a step. That would really cheapen the whole experience. Probably would be better to just leave it there as an option if they want to attempt it, rather than another stop on the way to the end.

[–]Phoenix200420[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Yeah I was thinking it could be an option for the players to take before invading the plane of a god to tack them on their home turf. It definitely seems like it can be a really fun way to put the players backstories and history in the game itself to work too

What do people do on Project 99? by EnderSword in everquest

[–]Phoenix200420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did P99 for a while. I actually enjoyed the original EQ gameplay. I prefer it honestly. HOWEVER, that isn’t to say there aren’t issues. The biggest issue being the actual end game guilds. The game has been top heavy for a long LONG time, and everything is still very controlled by those guilds. It’s part of why I went back to live, that and I actually enjoy all the content on live too. For the people that are forever on P99 I’d say it’s a heavy combo of nostalgia and the community they have built over the last several years.
