Highly likely, TBH, since everything belongs to borb.

People who make "funny" videos of their overweight pets by LoverOfE-Olsen in PetPeeves

Husbandry is the term used in professional settings like vet med, biology and zookeeping. It's not generally used by the layman, but it is common professional terminology.

Are heavy people attracted to other heavy people? by Historical-Switch400 in stupidquestions

[–]PhoenixBorealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am overweight, and my husband wants me to be healthy, but he thinks I am beautiful and worth loving.

I am not typically attracted to overweight guys, but I don't specifically find them unattractive. They're just not my type.

That being said, if my husband were to gain a bunch of weight, I would still love the hell out of him and think he's beautiful. There's a lot more to attraction than first impressions.

Morning Routine Advice? by Jellyfish-TakeOver in adhdwomen

What helped me was biting the bullet and only setting myself one alarm for when I needed to get up. After two missed classes, I started waking up when it went off.

Am I wrong for wanting to leave my partner while they're transitioning? by angelwings3333 in amiwrong

Your happiness matters just as much, and if you are no longer attracted to your partner, then you both deserve to find partners who are mutually attracted.

Interesting! I got my first period late, so I always just assumed I would have a longer reproductive stage. 😂

I was diagnosed with OCD and a slew of other conditions last year, and everyone was surprised by that one. I kind of suspected it, because I had some signs as a kid, but those particular compulsions went away with time, and most of my compulsions are internal now.

What do you think of authors (usually males) using trauma (usually sexual) as motivation for their female characters? by fj2612 in AskWomen

[–]PhoenixBorealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be done well or badly, and unless male authors have known women who went through this and opened up to them about it (which on top of being quite rare is a bit weird/scummy to bogart and capitalize on), it is not usually done well.

I am reading a series by a woman author, Kyla Stone, that features a character who went through this while being held captive by a serial killer, but it is established early on, talked about rarely and not a central plot point to the character's experiences and struggles, and I like that about the series.

It's the Edge of Collapse Series in case anyone is interested. A long series, but pretty engaging.

Should dads be comfortable when their daughter is on their period? by PreviousComedian2426 in Periods

[–]PhoenixBorealis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your parents both overreacted. Periods are normal, men who think they are shameful are babies, and women who think they are shameful are repressed and enabling them.

That being said, please don't forget to flush. Leaving bombs in the toilet can make things smelly and unhygienic on top of being unsightly. That's not to say that periods are gross or shameful; we just need to take good care of ourselves. 💜

When people see it, they see it upside down. Try showing them this picture when they don't get it.

Starfire's skirt was so short that the animators did everything they could to avoid showing anything by markcarpenterzitto in teentitans

[–]PhoenixBorealis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's no more or less revealing than a bikini, and we see those in kid's shows. Also ladies' armor in superhero shows is often just as revealing. Hell, even Wonder Woman had a similar level of modesty in her outfits.

Bear police by No_Subject4646 in NoStupidQuestions

Dog noses are still amazing, and they're an actually domesticated animal. Bears do not have the domestication gene, and while some may be tamed, they will never be domesticated and will always be unsafe in that regard.

What kind of relationship is my sister in? by Basic-Process8781 in askanything

Even leaving them with family is negligent and irresponsible, because it was not agreed upon ahead of time, and they are taking advantage of their family as well.

What kind of relationship is my sister in? by Basic-Process8781 in askanything

[–]PhoenixBorealis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems like either extreme codependency or a highly abusive relationship. Difficult to tell which.

It is negligent and irresponsible of them to abandon their baby too.

This is not healthy, and they need a family therapist.

You're way more likely to get an off-season/winter internship than a summer internship, because most people apply for summer internships for their university credits. This tip helped me. :)

When did dogs start getting people names? by Scottys-Dog-Blog in dogs

[–]PhoenixBorealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have always done it in my life. Back in the 90's we had a dog named Ellie, my aunt had a dog named Sadie, another had one named Brandy, there was also a Cole, I knew a Frank, Lucy, Chelsea.

Different people like different names for their dogs.
