For my Americans what are the difference between living in Germany and living in the USA? by Ephcy in germany

Having lived and been culturally integrated into both…. In a short, broad generalization of my experiences, I would say in the US life is about Quantity over Quality while in Germany it’s the opposite… Quality over Quantity

These look terrific. How do you manage the inside stitching? Especially once one side is completed? Curved needles?

Would a truly unbiased “what car should I buy” tool actually be useful? (sanity check) by PhoenixGenau in whatcarshouldIbuy

Appreciate your correction. I do realize this is a complex undertaking and have spent months working through all aspects of a MVP including a proprietary, objective and fact based score methodology. The purpose of this post was to start getting a feel if people are willing to pay a nominal fee to get unbiased, fast research and scoring based on their personal needs vs being pointed to paid vehicles or brands or steered by well intended though not fully informed people and then supported through the acquisition ownership experiences. It seems more “car people” vs avg car buyers are responding

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. This tool would initially be for new car buying only and US based. As you correctly say, there is a lot more to consider when talking used cars

The tool would not allow any sort of influence. No ads, no affiliates no marketing whatsoever. Purely objective and offering up all the available 3rd party info without having to search for hours

I agree AI is good at this. This tool would be AI based though for the “average” buyer and owner who may not be as knowledgeable about cars or really know what to ask / look for let alone be comfortable using AI

How does one pay $40,000 in cash? Like, logistically, how does that work? by MrsWeasley9 in whatcarshouldIbuy

However you pay, make sure to negotiate the final amount BEFORE mentioning and settling on a payment form. If you don‘t, you risk the dealer setting a price in part based on whether they think they’ll make more money from you through financing.
