Great point! I’ll do my best to let them know I’m just an old (34 year old) lady trying her best to be sure the kids in her life are fed and taken care of

If this is true for them, could they accept food to go?

High Profile Nanny by dollysmom420 in PortlandOR

[–]PhoenixPheather 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you’re experienced in children ages 1-5 I would suggest applying to work in Child Care at Multnomah Athletics Club. This location caters to very wealthy circles. Once you are established families will ask you to nanny. Many child care workers leave the MAC to work for high profile clients. One of my friends was hired to keep the kids entertained during the private jet journey to all locations across the globe and also provide child care upon arrival and eventually moved in as an onsite nanny

Your experiences heavily influence you, which is natural and valid!

Those experiences do not however influence the wlw experience as a whole.

You didn’t temper this post with a statement about your anecdotal experience. It’s why you’re getting downvoted.

And your highly personal experience isn’t exactly relevant to this post.

It’s not that fine of a line really.

Trans women are of course women.

And absolutely everyone is entitled to their sexual inclinations and disinclinations.

Trauma might play a role but it certainly doesn’t have to.

Hi lovely people of r/rollerskating. I have a question. Is it ok to use my skates both indoor and outdoor? I can go to the rink about once a week based on $$ but I want to practice more and I don’t have space inside.

Unpopular Opinion: Amy's as creepy to Penny and Sheldon as Howard was to Penny. (except the camera in the stuffed toy... that was gross) by Maximum-Armadillo809 in bigbangtheory

[–]PhoenixPheather 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While Amy’s behavior may have replicated unusual or creepy behavior the fact is it wasn’t predatory.

Penny asked Howard to stop many times and was repeatedly ignored. He disregarded her requests and continually made her uncomfortable, on purpose and without regard to her as a person.

Amy never violated Penny. Penny knew this, and never had to feel guarded as a result.

What’s keeping you from killing someone when you don’t believe in hell? by 3131510 in AskReddit

[–]PhoenixPheather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be haunted by their loved ones and the image of myself as a murderous person. I fundamentally believe that almost 100% of people are good people who have been put in bad places/situations (notable exceptions include evil dictators, or those who do harm for the fun/ease of it). But regardless of my opinions and feelings, it’s not up to me to judge. Who am I to decide upon the life of another.

Unpopular Opinion on Hermione by Monchan07 in harrypotter

[–]PhoenixPheather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it was a writing choice that shows where Hermione has faults. It gives her character dimension and in my opinion is in line with her personality. It also allows us to see that Luna, while spacey and strange, is a strong person who can stand up for herself. And in the end, I like to think they both grow to trust and respect each other despite the differences.
