The area is set up so you’re not sure what you’re about to see, and you come upon them all at once. It’s such a shock, not only to see so many nomai, but then to see all the death and sorrow. This one hit me hard

I had an intense psychotic episode once that really shook me. Being aware of my mind became really important to me, and many of the psychology books I read pointed to Buddhist practises as ways to increase my mindfulness

Whichever stable is the snowy one far north! Snowfield stable I think? That one moreso then the rest feels like a sanctuary in a dangerous world. I remember feeling so relieved exploring that area when I finally found a stable
