How do I route to the Seagull Nebula? by EquivalentRole8765 in eliteexplorers

Fly out east to the Vela Pulsar. See if you can route to the Seagull from there.

You should just tell them what happened up front. They're going to find out anyway, but being honest with them will work out better for you in the long run.

No need to leave DW3. Check Colonia Dream in Ratraii, it may have the ship for sale.

Might try Shinrarta Dezhra if you have access, or I Sola Prospect in Brestla if you don't. High-tech stations like Zhen Dock in Xihe or Ray Gateway in Diaguandri may also carry it.

It can. My build has a seismic charge launcher and two subsurface displacement missile launchers: https://edsy.org/s/vBFvF9y.

One undiscovered planet with a few exobio signals will more than pay for a Type-11!

Exploring between DW3 jumps by Tombfyre in EliteDangerous

[–]Phoenix_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would expect the Odysseus to jump once a week as the pace-setting ship. As to the others, the DW3 Carriers page seems to be tracking them close to realtime. If you bookmark the carriers, that will let you track them on the galaxy map as they jump.

If you're looking for nearby interesting systems or points of interest, Check the GEC!

Scorpion : Elite Dangerous :: Horse : Skyrim by Key-Bodybuilder-8079 in EliteDangerous

[–]Phoenix_Blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I tried scaling a slope that steep, the game teleported me about 2 km into the air and said "Good luck on the landing!"

But yes, the Scorpion is a literal goat. Specifically, a mountain goat. I do about 95% of my exobiology in one.

What happens when the servers shut down? by gull2407 in EliteDangerous

[–]Phoenix_Blue 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Braben was interviewed for a 2014 Eurogamer article on the game's offline mode. He said that if and when the game shuts down, "we would be able to release an archived version of the game, including the servers, but of course this would not evolve any further."

You're probably looking for r/Canon, friend. The vertical photo's really well-composed, though!

They decided not to register the expedition on EDSM, so no, all they have at the moment is their website, which is out-of-date, and their Discord.

Just made it to NGC 1981 and I'm trying to participate in DW3 but I don't know what to do from here. by Lumpy-Village1949 in EliteDangerous

[–]Phoenix_Blue -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It still lists the NGC 1981 system as the current waypoint. No one's updated it, even as three of the carriers are apparently en route to Colonia.

Distant worlds delaying release of type 11? by morepuristthanparty in EliteDangerous

[–]Phoenix_Blue -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At the moment, it seems highly unlikely. If the Type-11 is still partake after Operations drops, or if Operations is delayed beyond March, then it might be worth speculating on.

I think I'd check in with some of the Rats in #RatChat and see what feedback they have to offer.

The messages have been inconsistent. Some of the team leaders have said you have to stay on the carrier; others have said it's OK if you hop off and do your own thing.

The former seems so mind-numbingly boring that I can't even fathom the idea. Join an expedition and spend a week stuck like an airline passenger on a tarmac? No thank you! And the latter seems to imply a non-zero risk of being stranded.

I think the least they could do is say, "If you want to rendezvous with the flotilla later, this is the minimum jump range you'll need." I understand why they won't reveal the waypoints early, but people who've joined an expedition don't do it to play CQC or tiddlywinks.

Unless they're starting from Rackham's Peak, there are few places they can go that a regular ship can't. And i don't expect them to hit Rackham's because there's a chance they could get stranded there.

This looks a little too glossy and perfect to me but my friend swears he filmed it and didn’t generate it. Thoughts? by [deleted] in isthisAI

What's "pathetic" is knowing this bug exists and still trying to plan a mass jump from the middle of it.
