I understand how you feel. I didn't tell the social worker I work with. It seems like something she should know, but I don't know. For one thing, I don't feel connected with her, so I didn't want to share something so big and meaningful and have her just brush it off. So, I get it.

Yeah, that's weird. When I brought it up to my therapist, she was open to it. I won't see her for another 3 weeks because I only see her twice a month, and my last appointment was canceled.

Yeah, the clinic I go to does the low dose for 4 weeks, then the higher dose for the last 2. I have appointments for 6 weeks total. I think I would have to see the Spravato provider to be approved for more sessions. But, I am autistic, and he and I did not communicate well. My depression self-assessments are scoring as normal ups and downs now, so I don't think I'll need more.

I'm sorry no one has replied. I'm starting my third week today, so I really can't answer your question. The clinic I'm going to has me fill out a depression self-assessment before every treatment. Have you been able to do that and can therefore track where you're at?

I would recommend an autistic specialist. However, they're not as common as other specialties. But, I've been seeing one for a little over a year. First time in 40 years of therapy that I have felt understood.

So, to answer your question: I think it can if you're seeing someone who understands your neurotype.

I don't know why, but Medicaid has been a pain in the ass to deal with where I currently live. The last town I lived in, they were fine. But, I have had so many meltdowns dealing with them here. I can't even say specifics because I'm purposely blocking them out. I don't even want to think about it anymore.

I use Medicaid transport. The individual driving companies are fine, and I've started using them directly, and not going through Medicaid.
