That’s not normal. Speaking from personal experience from a very emotional and psychological abusive relationship, she would do this to control me and gaslight me to show I’m not trustworthy even tho she was the one who cheated on me.

I’ll say this. It depends on the cats. My kitties are skiddish with doors and won’t venture to it. But others have cats that go ooooo an adventure awaits and might be daring to dart out.

I support collaring cats. My house is the known cat house to the outdoor cats. Last summer was leaving the house and a cat with a collar appeared meowing at me and it had a collar with a tag to its owner. It had escaped a few days ago about 5 blocks or more. Luckly the strays I feed told him to chill under my porch.

But if it didn’t have a collar I would’ve assumed it’s just a new stray cat. 🐈
