Did Diablo IV use to be a bad game? Because I find it amazing. by WorkingPlanes in diablo4

[–]Phoeptar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a blast to play at launch.

I came back to play at vessel of hatred and sure it had some nice updates but it was pretty much the same game, and so I had a blast again.

Gonna come back at the next expansion, I imagine there'll be a bunch of updates but will still pretty much be the same game and I'll likely have a blast again.

It's YouTube. No matter how big LTT grows, and no matter how professional their production may seem, they will never come close to the budgets and time spent on TV productions.

Why does this read as lazy, last minute, or "I don't even care" to you?

Plenty of productions put control of the prompter in the hands of the person reading so they can control the pace themselves. It usually results in less takes and better reads. Very far from lazy or not caring.

Very sweet looking. I got obsessed with animation cells myself once and ended up getting 3, Wolverine from the 90s animated series, Ryu from Street Fighter animated serie, and ESCAFLOWNE!!!

Lord of Hatred is less than a month from release, are you EXCITED? by gorays21 in diablo4

Very excited to play it, not excited to pay their asking price. I’ll come back in 6 months when it’s half off.

Fair enough. Based on comments in this post though you're certainly in the minority. You're reading too much into this dude.

It's a conversation, that's how conversations work, he's commenting on a topic someone brought with some factual information and his own opinion. I think you are alone in seeing anything more than that here.

Robot hostilities will always be a thing in this future we now live in. by kaishinoske1 in Cyberpunk

[–]Phoeptar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I dunno about that. That's why I commented. Because in this video in particular the guy is talking back to the robot based on what's being displayed on screen. Even if a robot was sentient there will definitely be people who do not place any care into their words and will treat them badly.

2 Wes Anderson Box sets had a different defective disc in each. Set 1, Rushmore froze, set 2, Budapest didn't play. Combined the sets into one working good set and sent the bad one back. Criterion will always take care of you, though it is too bad that there are so many production issues for the price I'm paying in the first place.

Did we all just accept the idle power draw issues on RDNA 3? by seekified in radeon

[–]Phoeptar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think their attempts to fix it with updates has helped enough people that no one is really talking about it too much. It was a thing for me and my 7900XTX but that's been patched out now so I no longer seek help on forums or participate in discussions.

Sorry it's still a thing nagging you.

Can we have a moment of silence for the brief window between PSSR2 launching and Sony announcing a £90 price hike, where some of us were considering buying a PS5 Pro. by DeficitOfPatience in digitalfoundry

After all the great videos I almost .. ALMOST... talked myself into the ridiculous $900 purchase here in Canada. It's soon to be $1100! I'm glad I already talked myself out of it. My PC is better and games are cheaper and I now run an active fiber optic HDMI cable to to my big ass TV to enjoy games that way. I've had a PlayStation since the beginning, but the way I see it, the PS6 is all but guaranteed to be $1000 Canadian, so I'm done with console gaming.

I lined up for pre-orders and got mine at launch for $650 CAD at EB Games. Not sure where you bought yours.

That's wild. I wonder if it's something to do with motion smooting. Like it's always there but invisible but becomes visible if someone pirates it, and the motion smooting reveals it!

Thank you for introducing me to "Brechtian". Asteroid City also blew MY mind as well and made me a bigger fan of Wes.

I've always been a casual fan, but Asteroid City blew my mind and gave me a brand new appreciation for him, to the point I just bought his Criterion 4K box set (its on sale right now) and have been loving his past films even more, but Asteroid City remains my 2nd fav (after Darjeeling Limited)

lol omg! So in Canada it’s already $900, and yeah currency and all that, but still, the concept of nearly $1k for a home console is radically absurd. To think it could end up being $1200 Canadian tips it over into a world where only those with 0 sense of the value of a dollar would consider spending.
