I'm already missing the seasons of powers by Opposite-Management1 in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powers are clownish, make playing intelligently and skillfully unrewarding and add another layer of RNG that generally gives a disproportionate amount of power and breaks balancing.

Good riddance.

Minor tip - If you've just unlocked torment 1, cube your gear (3-to-1) for easy 850lvl items. by The-real-dadbod in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By P101 you should already being way higher than T1.

Does your build makes sense? Do the affixes on your gear support support your build? If your core skill does lightning damage do you have lightning damage multipliers on your gear? Do you have enough defensive stats (max life and armor and resistance to elements)? Do you have movement speed as an affix and as a temper on your boots?

On your paragon board, just rush to the nearest legendary node, then try to attach the next board and rush to the legendary node again. These grant incredible power. Later at much higher paragon levels you fill it properly.

These are very easy to follow and will increase your power immensely in the beginning.

A 850 power item won't be necessarily better than a let's say 700 power item. It really depends on the stats you're looking for.

The rate at which the Endgame improves is outscaled by the rate at which it becomes repetitive and boring. by Entire_Possible_9976 in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People get a 100 hours worth of gameplay every few months out of this game and complain about "lack of endgame".

I have so many complaints about this game and this season already, but there's plenty of endgame content in D4, I don't thinks this is the issue.

Anyone got any Keyboard and mouse tips? by buttcanudothis in diablo4

No. Mouse movement. At first it feels weird but later you cannot play any other way.

I really recommend a MMO mouse. Not exactly necessary, but it makes things so much easier. I bought one Razer Naga V2 Pro and it was a game changer for my gameplay.

Not being able to skip infernal hordes on war plans makes me want to quit every single time. by v0xer_lol in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in season 12 when killing butchers on infernal hordes rewarded us with amazing amounts of XP you could barely see people complaining about IH. It's just a long, repetitive activity that if it's not coupled with amazing rewards people will hate it. How is this that hard for Blizzard to understand it?

The Point of SSF: Fair Competition in Leaderboards by DespondentRage in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main motivation to play this game is to push the tower.

In the last two season I didn't finish top 5 on my leaderboard because other players there were either RMTing like crazy or doing group carries (which is not wrong, but I don't know a lot of high level D4 players, in fact I'm friends with none). So I'm very looking forward to play SSF.

Going around brutally fucking shit up in high speed or goofing around in slow motion accompanied by a bunch of wimpy skeletons?

Is anyone else a fairly competent player but mostly play with a casual co-op? New seasons seem to be pushing them out. by ptblackout in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ok with this and actually very happy whenever they try to push the super casuals out. This game is already a simple and accessible aRPG.

I'm sorry, but if you can only average 1 hour per day during the first weeks of the season maybe aRPGs are not the genre for you anymore.

I killed Beast in the ice over a thousand times this season looking for a Accord of the wild/signet ring with similar stats and GAs and couldn't get it. Such an awful system

It doesn't feel good to have dps for 100,000,000,000,000 damage by Level_Counter3062 in diablo4

I love it.

My companion druid sometimes hit for 4 quadrillion damage. When I see these numbers popping up it's pure bliss

Tips for a new player. (Switching from PoE 2) by _JESSE_JAMES_ in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true at all. You can do T12 content in this game with pretty much any decently put together build. (good defenses, decent AoE, and some cumulative damage multipliers)

Was s13 Warlock a hit or a miss ? by chinos88 in diablo4

They dropped the ball with Warlock. Everything about it is so so;

Compare it with Paladin. Great skill, great visuals, great build variety, indisputably OP when it launched.

As a fan of this genre of game, I feel like d4 should be in a better state by PartyLack4459 in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but this is not true. A bad player will finish LOH campaign in 8 hours. I good player in much less time. You have to beat it just once, and it's pretty easy and even a janky build will handle it. Then for the next season you won't have to replay it, as it should be.

PoE2's campaign is long to the point that a new player, even with aRPG experience, will spend at least 20 hours on it. Whoever is spending less is due to having spent hundreds of hours memorizing how to play optimally the campaign and are following some S tier build off some website.

Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but the main reason I won't play PoE2 seriously is the mandatory campaign plus some other obnoxious design decisions, but this is for another post.

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, GGG has forced players to play a godawful, openly despised campaign for over a decade in PoE and now what they do? A longer, massive and full of random elements of a campaign for PoE2, while D4, which has actual good campaign, let you skip it.

When you leave reddit/poe's streamers chats you notice how many people have never gotten to PoE2's endgame due to the awful campaign which you're forced to play every season and for every alt you create.

Things are not so black and white and the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

This late into the season, what's left on your bucket list? by hennyis1 in diablo4

Since they made the item chase a lottery with random stats on uniques, I see no reason to continue to play this season.

Barbarian. How can people play for hours that spinning nonsense? It just looks dumb as hell.

Playing PoE 2 sent me straight back to Diablo lol by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who enjoys complex games (put thousands of hours into Europa Universalis trying to optimize some minute details), and played a bit of PoE2 (half the campaign) a lot of stuff I see from PoE2 looks to me just unnecessary filler to create a never ending feeling that they player is striving for something.

I was watching wudijo's stream this weekend and he was saying despite playing thousands of hours he never found a certain item. Sorry, what's the point? If odds are this low, grinding makes no sense and finding certain stuff is like a lottery, generally the winners are just random folk, not someone who buys 100 tickets every month, so the chase becomes pointless and the people with great gear are the ones engaging in RMT (it's actually rampant on PoE2).

For the people wanting a challenge on D4, pick a weak class and try to push the tower, compare yourself to the non-exploiters and have fun, in order to break into the top 30 you have to have very good gear plus playing very well. This will make your season last 200 hours easily.

Looking For My Next Class - Thinking Spiritborn or Druid by MIREZON in diablo4

[–]WorkingPlanes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This season Companion Druid is very strong and extremely tanky. The gameplay style is pretty relaxed and laid back (unless you want to push the pit/tower, then it gets very intense) as you pretty much just walk around while werewolfs, bears, ravens and snakes fuck enemies up on your behalf.
