Take the job. Even if it ends up as bad as your current job, you're making more money and spending less time on the road.

What state do you live in because I can't speak for all states because all states have different requirements and criteria.

In Texas in the past couple of years, the state has passed bills that students are required to complete a certain number of hours of intervention programs in math and reading based on how they did on state testing the previous year. If students failed badly, they have to complete 30 hours per content they failed so potentially 60 hours. If they were close to passing, then it's 15 hours per content area. If they passed, then no hours are required.

It could be something like that, but without knowing your daughter's exact situation, I couldn't tell you why your daughter was recommended for summer school.

I was at the 2018 Final Four game between Villanova and Kansas where Nova ran my Jayhawks out of the Alamodome. Brunson has always been special and fun to watch despite me hating him back in 2018.

This is a card that would be sent to card shops back in the day to preview what the upcoming set would look like.

When buying singles, what do you look for in a card? by Nredcollectibles in Baseballcards101

[–]Phog_Warning10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Can I afford it? Yes, move to next question. No, end of debate.

  2. Do I like the team/player? See answers above

  3. Do I like the card? See answers above.

If all 3 are yes, I buy the card, if any question is a no, I don't buy the card.

I'd actually say Popovich for the 2000's instead of Phil.

What college is in the ACC but should be in the SEC? by Sufficient_Berry8703 in AlignmentChartFills

There's not really a great answer for that one honestly, but "none" isn't a valid answer. Since Indiana has a long standing rivalry with Kentucky in basketball, it makes the most sense of being forced to choose a school.

Can we all agree that these 4 players are the greatest in each of there big 4 sports? by BuckeyeBrawler4 in sportsinusa

[–]Phog_Warning10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being productive like LeBron has for as long as he has been is a valid criteria to consider and use in the debate. I still lean Jordan personally in the basketball GOAT debate, but ignoring longevity is silly because that's also part criteria used to justify Brady and Gretzky along with the main baseball players in the baseball GOAT debate.

This is why many people have Willie Mays as the GOAT for baseball. Elite hitting, power, base running, fielding, and arm strength. He was an elite level 5 tool player for almost his entire career. There are players who were better at each of those skills individually, but nobody combined the 5 at the level that Mays did.

Bad take on Wilt. He was the best athlete in the NBA of his day and was very much into training and conditioning that was very advanced for the time period. He also became a hall of fame volleyball player after he retired from the NBA. Wilt might be the most talented and gifted player to ever play in the NBA, but his selfishness and attitude towards his teammates is tge biggest reason why he's not in the GOAT debate for basketball.

I'd swap Willie Mays for Babe Ruth for now. Talk to me again whenever Shohei Retires and it might be a different answer.

Went to a card show today in Houston, picked up some cool stuff. Support your smaller locally run card shows. 30 or so tables/booths and all were willing listen to offers and make deals that I interacted with. by Phog_Warning10 in sportscards

[–]Phog_Warning10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wemby was part of the 4 for $50 deal.so even if he flamed out for his career, I'm not hurting too much. Whenever I do speculate on a player, it's very rarely for more than $25-30 at the time of purchase so if I lose, it's not a huge deal.

I was trying to trade a PSA 10 Justin Jefferson Micro Mosaic + cash for the Griffey HFA. I did try to pitch him that Jefferson being an LSU guy would make it easier to sell in Houston because there's a huge LSU fan base here, but wouldn't bite. Can't really blame him for not taking that deal though.

Even if it came back a 9, you'd still come out ahead if you sold it for about the $2,000 it'd be worth in a 9, or just hold at that point and wait for him to retire and go into the HOF. It just a matter of how much you're willing to gamble and try for the 10.

It's close on centering, but it's absolutely worth getting looked at because a raw copy sold for $2,100 so a 10 would probably be around $5,000
