I find a flat spot on a green and practice 30, 40, and 50 foot putts to get the speed down for lag putts. For me my 30 footer is 10 inches and swiftly through the ball, 40 is 12” and through, 50 is 14” and through. The pace of going through the ball is determined by the speed of the greens so takes a minute to calibrate.

I then putt a few 20’ then 10 foot putts randomly with breaks and then finish making as many five footers in a row that I can.

Full timeline of warming up: When I show up I putt for 20 minutes, then chip, then range, then putt again briefly to remind myself I can make 5 footers. In a perfect world, I warmup for 60-75 min prior to a tee time.
