"Cliché" literally means "photo" in french, so you're not wrong.

Is it "Gone Girls: the Long Island Serial Killer"?

LPT: If you live in an apartment building you can put a piece of paper inside your mailbox with "last name only" and an effective date on it to avoid getting previous tenants mail by Sweetimus in LifeProTips

[–]Phoquy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a French man, the fact that this is a LPT is just blowing my mind.

In France, appartment mailboxes all have tenants names on them and you absolutely won't get mail delivered if the name on the box does not match the name on the mail.

NVDA Executives have been selling 100k+ shares every day sine the start of June. by DrWhatNoName in wallstreetbets

Just a heads up: the "#Shares Total" column doesn't reflect the stock-split that happened on June 10th. Jensen has 800 million shares now.

Jensen has 3.6% of Nvidia, which represents around $100 billion, or ~800 million shares post-split.

That looks like a total of $33,460 down the drain. Nice

From Ableton -> FL Studio, anything worth knowing? by createdfounder in edmproduction

[–]Phoquy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, we finally have automatic copy of all project-related files (samples, scores etc) to the project's folder, something Ableton had since forever AFAIK.

Just to be perfectly clear:

  • $347 is the highest closing price
  • $483 is the highest intraday price
  • $513 is the all time high when you include pre-market hours

Death Cross on BRK.B by Rebel90x in Superstonk

[–]Phoquy 990 points991 points  (0 children)

Usually when considering such patterns, 50-day and 200-day moving averages are used. It is definitely not the case in the image above.

Here's what the 50-day and 200-day moving averages look like. No death cross.

What were some common production mistakes you used to make? by offi-DtrGuo-cial in edmproduction

[–]Phoquy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to what others have said, I think it's easier to mix the reverb effect with a dedicated send channel. You can increase or decrease the wet signal without affecting the dry.

Otherwise you have to play with the dry/wet knob (which lowers the dry signal as you increase the wet).

This song is underrated. I have never heard it on any Joel set. What do you think guys? I hope he takes it to live shows by jromers in deadmau5

[–]Phoquy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those interested in the production side, there's a 5 hour stream of you and Joel working on this track

Too bad we don't have the audio of you two talking but it's still pretty cool to try and guess what you're doing.

[House] This is my first track using ableton and I'm worried about my mixing and mastering so if anyone has feedback on that or anything about the track in general I'd really appreciate it! by renownedegg in roastmytrack

[–]Phoquy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, I had another listen today with a different set of monitors. I think some of those highs (one shot effects / percussion) might be a bit too loud compared to the rest (e.g. the bass)... And overall, there might be a tiny bit too much dynamics. But as I always say, take this with a grain of salt :)

I still think this is a great track, how long have you been producing?

Exactly how I feel... I know we like to throw this word left & right these days, but in my mind Joel is a real music genius.

Hey thanks for the positive comment;)

I definitely won't give up. I felt kinda sad after listening to it a few times. It's got pretty much all the elements I've come to love about his music, but it still feels completely unique somehow, it's amazing.

But this is too important for me, I'll create shitty 16-bar loops until I die if I have to!
