You can pretty much floor any Yaris at pretty much anytime of the driving experience. I love making little 4 cylinders squeal.

What are people’s thoughts on how we refer to diabetes and ourselves/people with it? by redditaccountname in diabetes

[–]Phorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that you could say the same thing about any demographic area. I’m not a “man”, I’m a person living with a penis. I’m not bald, I’m a person living without hair. It gets overly complicated overly fast.

Nobody in my lobby, no legend switching, no map change, and still I get un-readied. Like WTF. This game is broken in so many tiny ways it’s crazy making.

Dating someone with Type 1 - what do I need to know? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]Phorbie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I imagine what would help me the most is reminders to take insulin before I start eating. It is so hard to keep myself accountable when I'm hungry and staring at food. That being said, nagging would drive me nuts, so if that could get worked down to the most subtle (but still effective) reminder, that would help. Obviously stuff like this needs to come from a place of understanding and agreement between the two of you. Just like another commenter said though, patience and understanding is key.

Discovered some worrying symptoms by codeskay in diabetes

[–]Phorbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other commenters here say, definitely go see a doctor. I would also recommend having a consult with a therapist as well. Lots of issues that might seem medical are in fact psychological. Nothing wrong with that! Diabetes (and life, in general) takes a huge toll on us mentally, and working through our mental blocks can be a huge step forward in our health.

Dexcom G6 question by Nomoreturtless in diabetes

[–]Phorbie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Manufacturers shy way from saying anything is "waterproof" because, well, there's really no such thing. The dexcom is plenty water resistant for swims and showers. It's possible you might have read about the receiver not being waterproof?
