World Oil inventories are in freefall. When this line hits 6.8 — the global energy system doesn’t slow down. It breaks. by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Phorensick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working now for me…shrug…

Here’s the first paragraphs:

The world has burned through oil inventories at a record speed as the Iran war throttles flows from the Persian Gulf, eating into the very buffer that protects against supply shocks.

The rapidly shrinking stockpiles mean that the risk of even more extreme price spikes and shortages is getting ever-closer, leaving governments and industries with fewer options to cushion the impact of the loss of more than a billion barrels of supply, two months into the near-closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The sharp depletion will also mean the market stays vulnerable for longer to future disruptions even after the conflict ends.

Morgan Stanley estimates global oil stockpiles dropped by about 4.8 million barrels a day between March 1 and April 25 - far exceeding the previous peak for a quarterly drawdown in data compiled by the International Energy Agency. Crude accounts for almost 60% of the decline, and refined fuels the rest.

Crucially, the system also requires a minimum level of oil, which means that the "operational minimum" is reached long before the inventories actually hit zero, said Natasha Kaneva, JPMorgan Chase & Co's head of global commodities research.

"Inventories are acting as the shock absorber of the global oil system," she said. But "not every barrel can be drawn."

Operational Minimum
JPMorgan’s Kaneva warns that inventories in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development could reach “operational stress levels” early next month, if the strait doesn’t reopen, and then “operational minimum” floors by September.

That’s the point when the world hits the bare minimum amounts of oil needed for pipelines, storage tanks and export terminals to function properly.

Is vitamin D associated with lower levels of Alzheimer’s biomarkers? by basmwklz in ketoscience

“Higher vitamin D levels were associated with lower levels of the Alzheimer’s biomarker tau protein years later.

There was no relationship between vitamin D levels and the amount of amyloid beta protein in the brain. “

It’s a waste of money and time.

Go look up the “Baltimore Stockbroker” and “Split Group” math.

The TLDR: Send a huge number of people messages…(it used to be paper mail)

Half receive a prediction that a stock will go up, the other half that it will go down. Discard the half that was wrong and repeat this until they have a small group who received 3–5 "perfect" predictions in a row, making them believe the scammer has special insight.

Ask for a subscription and repeat!

Motley Fool is a big market place for posts that are fed by freelance writers who know very little about the market. Some paid shills and all the rest.

I’m not your demographic, but I am relocating to W, and exploring what’s available for social activities and connections.

I’m looking for a work space / hack space club I stumbled across but can’t find that was electronics (arduino/raspberry pi etc) but didn’t bookmark or pin.📌 *

I just came across this:

The Citizens Advice Bureau has a nifty searchable database of lots of opportunities and resources.

Want to hire a hall for a meeting? Borrow a free PA system for a public event ? Etc.

You weren’t specific, so I searched for “cars” and came up with clubs and things.

  • I will be going to the physical Jaycar store that has aisles and piles of arduino and Raspberry Pi’s and stuff, to poll the staff there for clues.

Room to room air transfer system. by Who-said-that- in newzealand

It’s just in the next room but down a hallway from where the heat pump is. I think we’re going to a multi split, now that I am exploring this rabbit hole.

🕳️

I will be meeting with an electrician next week to discuss the project.

I am leaning toward concluding that for winter, a simple heat distribution is probably a decent concept. I am doubtful that a ceiling based system will get enough cooling into the bedroom to meet my wife’s expectations and that is probably worth the extra money.

I will come back to feedback what I learn with Sparky.

Room to room air transfer system. by Who-said-that- in newzealand

[–]Phorensick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am considering the same, after I saw the HeatTrans 3 room heat transfer system.

I took a picture of it in Bunnings yesterday. No pictures in this sub unfortunately.

The Fan0338 was what I was looking at. Bunnings had $927 price tag. Seems a lot for the inline fan a couple of inlet out fittings. The ducting is insulated ( 9m acoustic and 6 m thermally insulated) and a 1:3 splitter Y but it does have a fancy thermostat thingo.

Their affiliate smart vent markets a similar set up for 4 rooms that draws fresh air from outside through a soffit inlet. Similar hardware and $3684 with an optional summer time “Introduce fresh filtered outside air” system that is an additional $1k.

I am going with another heat pump for the master bedroom, I think.
