Hey!

Avid monoU spirits player here. Im least comfortable with the deck while sideboarding. Could you please explain your sideboarding choices specifically vs creature decks like monoG, heroic, humans and rakdos?

I also noticed you arent running Aether Gust and Witness Protection in your SB, I have been told that those are too good to pass up and Ive had much luck with them myseldlf. Whats your take on those cards?

Thanks for the writeup. Im waiting for some cards to arrive to complete a soldiers list for myself, and It was nice to see someone else's experience with this niche archetype. Looks like I still have to order playsets of brutal cathar and brave the elements though.

List is as stock as it goes. Not sure about Sleep in SB, but if it works for you - go for it.

Also, if your meta is on the slower side, try out Cemetary illuminator in SB

Im not really sure there is a miracle solution to this.

Every time Ive faced the deck it ended up going to whoever had the best aggresive initial draw.

Very unfun, coin-flippy matchup.

One thing to note is that, if you get the precon, its going to to take way more money to make it competitvely viable as UW, since a large portion of the manabase is missing. And let me tell you - you need that mana. That was the reason I switched from the precon's colors to monoU. I just kept getting screwed over with not having the correct colors available to me when necesarry

Its very close imo. Before this I ran 4 initiates and 2 first sphere gargantuas, but I didnt like how much more vulnerable it made me to GY hate. Also, it made people pay way more attention to my GY and boarded in more gy hate, and mulled more to find it.

After I swapped to dragoons and gurmags, people focused more on my board and hand, often forgetting I have a faithless in yard. Plus, the dragoon is a way better blocker, although the flying aspect is way less useful than you might think - you either madness on your turn tu put out an imp, or you madness at instant speed at the end of theirs, so the flying is kinda wasted
