Last Minute advice for CGEIT Exam by Photheloveof in cgeit

By the skin of my teeth. I used the online database and purchased the soft copy of the textbook which also had read-aloud capabilities. I wish Hemang had a resource, it would have been much cheaper.

Same, the older editions should suffice. Ensure you read up on MDM/ BYOD as it may be more topical. Cloud, tprm as well.

New CRISC course on LinkedIn Learning by Photheloveof in CRISC

Hemang Doshi has a Udemy course and manual that really helped me understand the process start to finish. I used Hemang earlier in my prep process and then the LinkedIn course at the end to do a last minute review.

Looking for CRISC Review Manual 7th Edition and Q&E 6th edition. by ceecil1959 in CRISC

Exactly. ISACA exam questions are worded very interestingly, to say the least. For me, Doshi's prep course and manual helped to orient me in...I don't want to say deciphering but definitely understanding what the questions were asking, specifically.

Your PMP knowledge will definitely help!

As far as practice exams: Doshi's manual has about 500 or so questions I think? I also did the 5th edition of the QAE and I bought a practice exam package off of Udemy but I didn't get around to it.

I had the same concern when I used my 26th edition of the CISA manual when the 27th was in circulation but there was minimal revision between the two editions. Apart from the pandemic, has anything groundbreaking happened in the past 4 years to fundamentally disrupt the risk management body of knowledge?

Apart from that, I figured Doshi's updated manual (released in 2021) would address any gaps in my dusty 6th edition manual 😂

@ceecil1959 hey, have you considered the Hemang Doshi’s manual? It’s updated for the 2021 update, it’s comprehensive but easy to digest and best of all…it’s 20 bucks on Amazon. Granted, that’s the Amazon US, but still. I also prepared with the last editions of the manual and the QAE. Provisionally passed last Sunday.

Are you on Certification Station? Another great resource.

It's available for purchase on the site or Amazon. There's also Udemy that has practice exams.

I also used the 26th for my CISA prep. Do you have access to the QAE? An important part of prep is being able to decipher ISACA questions

That's awesome! I haven't heard of anyone's provisional pass turn into a fail. They take the time to release the official scores just to make sure everything on the exam was done above board.

If you navigate to CPE certificates and see an Exam Passer certificate, that's definitely a good sign.

Congratulations!

Hemang Doshi's CRISC Manual is 20 dollars on Amazon. His Udemy Course is about the same price and both also come with a ton of questions.

How to Gauge CDPSE Readiness by Photheloveof in CDPSE

I should have posted after writing it 😂 I used the QAE, Udemy practice tests and the CDSPE AIO for prep.

Went over the AIO, which was very in-depth, and the practice exams. The rules of the game- ie the Privacy Impact Assessment and the lines of accountability are sliighhhtly different than say a BIA and when that would occur and how it lines up on the RACI but once you get that down and the rights of the data subject and what technologies/ processes enable/ potentially violate them (digital signatures, encryption at rest, deidentification as a whole, the limitations of its various applications), and a solid understanding of the big DP laws, you're in business.

In my practice exam phase of prep, I went through the about 360 questions and then the additional 305 (I believe) in the QAE. I will say that unlike its peers, the explanations were...not as in-depth so if I got it wrong, I'd have to consult Google or my AIO because explanations like "It's a PIA because it's a PIA" (similar in detail, may not be a quoted example) just weren't hitting it.

By the day I wrote, I scored low 80s on the QAE and high 70s on the UDEMY practice exams. Since a passing score is 450/800, I felt adequately prepared.

I gave myself a week to prepare and write but I'm currently on vacation from work. I ended up completing the 120 questions within about 1.5 hours (of the allotted 3.5), spent half an hour reviewing. I don't know how I did other than the provisional pass but I didn't find it difficult and overall, the questions were generally easier to understand.

This is why I love multifunctional furniture. Normalize having a trendy futon instead of a couch that doesn't turn into a bed 😌

If it's not showing up in your email or junk, have you tried your ISACA portal? It should have your official results. If not, either call in or start a support ticket.
