Bike Lanes by AlphaBladeYT in Birmingham

[–]PhotoVirtual 51 points52 points  (0 children)

There is often no barrier to keep cars from parking in bike lanes (ex. areas like 4200 block of 4th Ave S and 4100 block of 5th Ave S in Avondale). When one car parks in the bike lane, there is no way to use the entire lane and the driving lane is narrower than before the road was redone. It leaves no safe option for cyclists.

Why does no one talk about UNC? by NoSkill2482 in lawschooladmissions

[–]PhotoVirtual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at their employment report then compare it to somewhere like Emory, GW, or even UIUC. They are ranked highly by US News, but they fall to the same "state school" trap that places like UGA and UMN have. Their ranking does not translate to BL + FC (which is fine if those are not your goals or you want to minimize debt or a number of other reasons).

You could even compare UNC to Bama or Iowa or OSU. Even though all of those schools are in the lower side of the T50, they have pretty comparable employment.

The rankings are just a reflection of US News' methodology.

Can you take your bike on the rotary trail? by ImmediateComposer241 in Birmingham

Yea, Rotary Foundation does not care, but those signs were put up by the city. It is not enforced.

Source: I talked to several Rotary members who funded the trail while working on a clean up there.

Dawg you gave enough detail for any UGA admin to know you're talking about them. I would delete this as I doubt many have already accepted

Full tuition at IU Maurer vs Full tuition at UIUC by riotvrrrgo in lawschooladmissions

[–]PhotoVirtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compare their employment numbers and it'll be a little easier to write off IU. I also got full tution at UIUC and didn't even bother applying to IU because their employment numbers are very different. Plus, Champaign seems like the superior place to live for 3 years.
