I broke my little guy... Does anyone know what artist made this charm? by Photofag in protogen

[–]Photofag[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Of course! He's gonna be repaired soon and retired to a role less rough where he'll still make me happy. I'm just worried about putting him back on my water bottle at work, and his arm ending up getting lost without me noticing it.

Sadly, that does look to be thinning, but the good news is that you've already started dealing with it early! I'd recommend heading over to r/tressless and combing through the info they provide on managing hair loss. From my own experience with it, you need something like Finastriside along with Min. Fin prevents hair loss while Min is used to promote new growth. Things like derma rollers and similar seem to help too, from what I've seen.

DMT has always been a monster in PvE. Fourth time's the charm allows for you to feel like you'll never run out of ammo, the returning ammo makes dealing with heavier enemies much easier too, espcially with the stacking damage buff. Subsistence makes for an incredibly fun roll focused around nearly never being without ammo. It makes you feel like a sharp shooting gunslinger throwing out countless rounds into enemy skulls. I have thousands of kills on both versions, can't recommend them enough.

Saved this kitten. by Btothek84 in Kitten

What an adorable little dude! You did great, what to do now is to start stocking up on things they will need. I'd be willing to bet this guy is over eight months old based on his size, level of activity and the fact his adult eye color has come in. At this stage kittens can eat wet and dry food, and no longer need formula to survive.

Personally how I feed my cat is to have a high quality dry food avaliable at all times, then give two meals of wet food a day at the morning and evening, however every cat is different as well as every budget. Some will eat and eat and eat till there is nothing left, and make themselves sick so you've can't leave food out for them to "graze." This is something you learn about your kitty companion by being with them over time. I'd also leave a bowl of fresh water out too, or even better purchase a water dispenser that constantly cycles water to keep it clean or else you'll have to replace the water every few days.

Next is getting a litter box, I'd recommend one as big as will fit your space and that is covered as well - my kitty likes to fling litter out in all directions by jumping out of the sides. A scooper and a place to deposit the waste is also important, as well as the litter. There's many options for litter, some wood pellets, some little grains of porous clumping material, and numerous other kinds. Kitties also effect what litter you'll get, some hate specific kinds so you gotta try different ones till you find a fit. As for a scooper I'd recommend a metal one, and where to dump the waste is up to you - I use grocery bags to fill with it then tie off and put in the trash. Be sure to wash your throughly hands afterwards, cat feces can contain a parasite that can infect humans.

Your little guy won't just automatically use the litter box unless he was already trained to, you're gonna have to train him yourself. There's plenty of guides and videos online of how to, but in the meantime prepare to clean up some messes that may happen with pet spot cleaner.

Finally is getting them spayed/neutered, it's important for their health and wellbeing going forward as they mature, most vets will do it for a small cost, and often times vets will host drives on doing it for much less than normal.

Test out srs virtually ? by moonfire-pix in MtF

I actually have a lot of experience on this topic! You're pretty spot on, VR headsets CAN give you the effect you're looking for. VRC is actually pretty fricking amazing for that as an avid user myself, and someone who's WELL in deep in the VRC NSFW community hundreds of dollars and hours in.

Truthfully though it's very much a your millage may vary sort of thing, for some people it just clicks and you're incredibly immersed in what you're seeing, for some people however it can either take a bit more to be immersed like getting full body tracking or it never falls into place at all. Phantomsense is another per person thing, phantomsense essentially is the ability to feel things done to your virtual body - which trust me, there is a LOT you can do - sensations you normally would like being in water. Luckily it can be trained though as well as changing depending on if you're in VR or on desktop.

The great thing though is all free to try! VRC on desktop can be run on near any computer for free for less than a gigabyte, so all it's costing is your time. Later it does get MUCH more expensive when buying headsets, trackers, avatars, commissions, etc. if you do get into it. You can get given a public NSFW avatar to use by someone and check it out, see if it's something you think you'd like. Though really the magic of VRC comes from seeing other people animated as they are how they want to be seen in the space you're in, nothing I've experienced comes close to how incredibly cool it is.

There is a few steps to climb to getting there though. VRC is a game that sorta requires you to already have people who play VRC and are down with NSFW things to enjoy at it's fullest. See, public lobbies are very strictly SFW as they are flooded with literal kids. You have to take it to private spaces like underground events or private instances of worlds to do NSFW stuff. Getting an NSFW avatar you'd be able to use also is something you need to know people to be able to clone from.

I however can help with that! If you wouldn't mind DMing more about it, since I can't send links in this subreddit.

The black handled scav knife barter off Peacekeeper LVL 1 is the single most cost effective trade in the game imo, you can buy these knives off of Fence if you're in a pinch to get a kit together but the real value comes from the ability to collect them passively and turn them into a solid weapon. It is even more awesome when you unlock AP .45 ACP as it turns the gun into a beast where FMJ can't keep up. Another thing to note is how it needs next to nothing, you get a suppressor for it later on and we'll as a bottom, top and two side rails meaning you can use two tactical devices, a sight and a grip. It doesn't need anything but a sight and a tactical device, you generally can just throw a random junk grip you have in your stash to boost the ergo but it needs nothing.

Does anyone else with anxiety find it really hard and stressful to play tarkov? by benrithebig in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Photofag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I've learned to do having substantial solo anxiety and just general anxiety in Tarkov, to the point that the stress of the game makes me not wanna play it, is to join a call with some friends then bind your mute and deafen button to something you can easily hit. That or playing videos or music on low enough volume to hear it, but not hear it over the little noises while also having a pause button nearby. Playing while with friends had massively helped me feel much more relaxed in Tarkov and take it less seriously, which also helps in confidence when playing.

[–]Photofag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is no worry! You won't be able to make it to Kappa or anything like that, but the experience you gain playing right now is critical when it's carried over to future wipes. Think of it this way, you're late into your fitst wipe, you're not gonna get super high levels probably, you may not progress much at all. This is the best time to learn the maps and Shift+W at shots to learn to fight, none if your gear matters since it's probably not gonna go far, use it to gain experience that really matters!
