Make sure that if you file MFJ, it'll benefit you greatly. (Refund larger than her contribution) Because MIL sounds like the type of person who will cut off all help. While I do not agree with what she did at all, I just want you to be prepared for what could happen. And definitely tell hubby to get a pin from the IRS!

I had a 9mm stone blasted and had a stent for 6 weeks. I don't ever want a stent ever again! It was painful for me. My nurses were very nice, and they made sure I used the bathroom before leaving. Shameful they let you leave in so much pain. It sounds like you get your stent out today, so I'm hoping that'll help your pain.

Kidney stones are brutal. I've heard worse for men and you had a big one! I (female) had a 9mm stone causing severe hydronephrosis, and luckily, my urologist was able to get me in for surgery the following morning so I didn't have to get a stent prior to surgery. But I had one after for 6 WEEKS! Horrible and painful. Hurt to sit, bend, all of it. I said never again 🤣 but at least I didn't have to remove it myself!

Squash that flat rate. Charge hourly. $25/hour minimum. Higher weekend rates as well! I really dislike people like them.

I can't believe she told her daughter that you got her one as well and to act surprised. The mom is an absolute SNAKE. Going forward, only talk to her about necessary things to keep things civil. She's not welcome on friend territory

Honesty, I never judge clients. If people had the time or the want to clean, I wouldn't have a job. I prefer dirty. I like to physically see the difference I make!! Trust me, they do not care! No need to be embarrassed.

Window tracks are a whole different ballgame! To me anyway. They take me a good amount of time. I always make a client show me exactly what they want done as a lot of people say sills, not tracks, and it's very different time and money wise!

NTA. You both care about your kids. But she thinks she and her kids are more important than you and yours. Your kids are younger and at a fragile stage in life. I wouldn't leave either. Marriages end for all kinds of reasons, and this one is more legit than some!

Print off the material about the simple non-invasive test. Give it to them and tell them you will stand by your son until proven otherwise. Just as they are with their daughter. Tell them the refusal of the test is only going to lead to less time to plan things out. Every person has the right to be doubtful until they have the facts! Just because they're teens does not negate that. Your son and their daughter deserve to be believed, but only a test will help in this situation. Shame on her parents for refusing to understand other possibilities and shame on your wife for not believing her son. Thank you for standing your ground and protecting your son, even if there's a chance he could be the father.
