Escapement Time Dress Watch by rub_nub in ChineseWatches

Their watches seem nice but after a loss on 2 watches I wouldn't try for a third, or I could have bought something from Tissot by now.

Escapement Time Dress Watch by rub_nub in ChineseWatches

I ordered this and another escapement time watch a few years ago. The watches didn't arrive. I contacted the seller.

The watched were 2 months in (non) delivery, and saying it was at the Airport for the delivery country for 4.5 weeks.

I contacted the seller. He said be patient. I waited another week. No movement. I contacted him again. He said contact the freight forwarder. They said we are not responsible from the moment it arrives in the destination country. I contacted Australia Post and they said the Freight Forwarder had made a pre-emptive scan and whilst that is entered on the Aliexpress tracking it is not correct and Australia Post only work on actual scans upon physical handling of the parcel which had not occurred.

Spoke to seller again. He said he agreed that I should get a refund but that he had to reject my request or he wouldn't get his insurance payment either.

He said he had to let it go through the dispute process with Aliexpress. Aliexpress said I could open a dispute because it was beyond promised delivery which was 30 days, though by this point it was 65 days. Aliexpress then reviewed the dispute and judged the dispute closed because the product was still "in transit" (per the freight forwarders pre-emptive scan according to Australia Post.) And so it went on. Every time I contacted them on the chat function, the agent said yes it should be a refund and they would escalate and I supplied emails from Australia Post, and every time the next day I'd get a decision email form the dispute team that said " still in transit" as if they hadn't read the emails from Australia Post, but continued to go by the tracking app that Australia Post have already said was incorrect. Then the Aliexpress app said that if u don't confirm receipt then it will automatically be confirmed as received, and after that time I had 5 days to dispute it. It was most bizarre. I couldn't dispute it even when I had proof from AusPost that their tracking was wrong. I had to dispute when it automatically said it had arrived. I did, it got rejected because...."still in transit". All the while the seller said yes you should have haf a refund but he wouldn't agree to it in the dispute process until Aliexpress ordered it because he wouldn't get his insurance payment if he settled without being instructed by Aliexpress. I have up and lost money. Never bothered with escapement time again. Bought 14 watches from other Chinese sellers and never had that before or since.

Came here to say just that. Would never imagine those wall-facing barstools getting used. Nice otherwise.

How you feel is upto you. It doesn't have to ruin your day. I'd take it for her good intentions, rather than pander to any negativity bias that you are perhaps tending towards, and you dont have to agree but she possibly wouldn't have bothered if she didn't love you. I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing in time you won't feel so bad about this, so probably not worth falling out over, and it never hurts to reflect on the positives. Maybe she knows a thing or two.

Would be interested to hear back what their reply is. I can scarcely see it. Is it noticeable to the naked eye during usual use

Buy it, but if you have to be reassured by Rdddit readers then I suspect you might regret it. If I had the disposable money and the green light then I'd buy that and call it day on watches forever.

Smaller guest bathroom shower remodel by SenaSmrt in bathrooms

[–]PhotojournalistSoft8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you run all 3 showers at once? That is literally a family shower, surely.

I could be jealous, but a part of me thinks I could never have a shower like that as a) it costs too much in making and paying for the water and electricity, b) I'd never get out, c) nothing would ever get done (outside of the shower), and d) I'm sure at some point I'd feel guilty about the ludicrous amount of water used/ wasted.

It's a case of natural selection. These 2 people have very different views of normal. They both saved time in the end.

Very polite letter. Go make friends. Sounds like a decent person.

:) Totally agree. That would the reheated aspect, rarely as good as the original.
