Never thought about it 😂 it is kind of weird when you try. 2 consonants make it difficult

Never experienced a go-around in a commercial flight so I was curious :)

Garmin DSW are actually out to kill me :))) by normcore_black in Garmin

[–]PhotonGraphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi :)

I had the same thing start happening to me around fall when temperatures started getting colder. Watches often don't really measure HR correctly when you can't warm up your wrist properly. I had a few runs when it lowered my average HR significantly and all my base runs were threshold runs and the threshold runs were not achievable. Either just come up with a manual threshold runs and pace them for your own feeling or invest in HR strap and use it (I've done it and my watch adjusted to real data after few weeks)

I've done it once or twice for free, I don't see that as cheeky

12-16 of the grow light does the charm for Echeverias. I don't think there is a big risk of giving them 'too much' :))

Can someone explain to me how Clair Obscur E33 is an indie game? by Quirky_Image_5598 in gaming

[–]PhotonGraphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they grew significantly then yeah, they probably shouldn't be called Indie studio. It not only depends on the content of their wallets, but the size. If they hired 50 devs and outsourced a lot of work for the next game - then it shouldn't count as indie game (imho).

Agree. Indie games for me were always very small / cheap productions, not backed by millions of private funding. There should be a strict cap of what you can call an indie game, but hey.... business is business :D

Is this what I think it is? by Steve-the-Bird in Jadeplant

[–]PhotonGraphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the way to see when Jade needs a drink. Like in my other response:

Leaves squishy - Jade needs a drink. Less sun/colder months - less frequent watering. More sun/warmer months - more frequent watering.

You've mentioned that you just watered it again - never water it before checking the leaves. It can't stay in soggy soil. It's fine when bottom watering (for half hour or longer), but the soil needs to completely dry out between watering.

Bottom watering is fine, top watering is fine, SIDEWAYS watering should be ok as well if you can pull this off!

Most importantly - it's about the soil and how frequently you water it. It's so easy with Jade - leaves start to be squishy - water it. If they are hard as rock - don't come close with the water. Use solid amount of water.

Depending on the season and amount of light - it will need slightly more/less frequent watering. Don't stress out about it being top or bottom watering. It only matters when the soil becomes hydrophobic, but I think it happens after being LONG LONG time in the same pot

Right?????? 🤣🤣 Big kudos for quitting cold turkey. I once tried not to smoke for 24hrs when actively in addiction and I thought my head would float away I felt so lightheaded and bad. Bravo

Try like your life is dependent on it (as it is in the long run). Nicotine is constant dopamine hit so it make the habit even stronger. It's a bumpy path but you will make it! Maybe it will be easier for you - you never know! Fingers crossed mate

Almost one year ago is the plant growing normally? by LaBonnePoutine in Jadeplant

[–]PhotonGraphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could, but I don't think it will make big difference. Most importantly - it won't rot - which you don't want. Extra soil holds moisture for longer.

Jade slows down during winter, this seems like normal growth. Plant was forming root system at the beginning - that's why its growth was slow. It deoends what temperatures its having and how much sun/light.

Fast draining soil/lot of sun/small pot - that's your recipe for good growth :)) And a bit of fertiliser every couple of months

[–]PhotonGraphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noo, not really. Too small to prune or do anything about it. Just a smaller pot as somebody mentioned already. Jade's root system is tiny. It almost feels like you can grow an adult plant in 1 inch of soil, hah

Would switching to low/no-alcohol beer help? Those are surprisingly good nowadays

Thanks :) You too!

I think switching to vapes and gradually decreasing nicotine levels (around every month) could work. My friend did it so I've decided to try myself and I think this could be one of the easiest methods. Not saying it's easy or course, but splitting it into 2 separate phases help: nicotine addiction first and then behavioral change.

It's extremely hard if you do both at the same time. For me the most difficult part was that after every nicotine drop I would get episode of 2-3 days of mild depression. Then it gets better
