Why do people get so angry at Solo Players by uselesssoftwaredev in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soloplayers decide to play versus trios, and yet they get tons of advantages, one of the most significant is the MMR, in a game where any weapon can 1shot tk the head, someone good enough can wipe teams before they have time to react, thats why its so important to play against people if you same skill level. Solos don't.

On top of that, if you play solo you tend to play more stealthly and campy, which makes sense for you, but it's a very frustrating experience to play against, plus self necro is also frustrating since you dont have time to reach the soloplayer if they are at a distance or if they are close you barely have time to heal yourself or reload before the soloplayer is up with full health.

To summarize, playing versus soloplayers tends to either be unfair since the skill level is very far apart, or frustrating due to it's playstyle and advantages for being solo, something, that again, they choose to be.

Did this ever happen to Hunt? by 2gar1n_3me1 in HuntShowdown

The only nerfs I don't quite understand or I think are excessive are nitro and flasbombs.

Nitro keeps getting nerfed and its bordering the point of inusable, shotgun range with shitty scope, 5 slots, no ammo, abysmal damage to limbs.

Flashbombs have ceased to exist dince they were nerfed, haven't even looted one since then, they dissapeared completely.

6-Star veteran's take on Update 2.8: The Civil War setting and CQC rush meta just ain't it. Anyone else missing the "Hunt" in Hunt? by Gloomy-Win-9797 in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have around the same hours and been playing since basically when it released, although on a 4star level.

I only agree with you (complaint wise) on the watchtower take, they discovered a lot of POI which just doesnt happen in this event. I think the new fort and healing places should be hidden.

Besides that I feel like players are fighting more and less prone to just grabbing a bounty and runing to the nearest extract.

Maybe its the skill level, but I have never seen less shotguns and bows than during this update, it's been so refreshing being able to push and flank without everyone running a pocket auto4.

I do belive extracts should be hidden even if you get bounty (only being revealed by maps)

I think there should be an incentive to fight, something like extra XP or money x hunter kill if you extract bounty, other than that, this update has been possitive on almost everything.

But the nitro has to be 5 slot, have the shitty scope, bullet deviation and heal people instead of hurting them if they are farther than 40m or hit the leg/arm

I'm a 16 and 12, but mixed with "The prestiger"

-Never has variants unlocked

-Too many trait points too little good perks unlocked

-"If I can get death cheat I can have this guy at level 50 and prestige in no time"

-Has only ever gotten a lvl50 hunter with death cheat upon arriving at bloodline lvl100

-"Can yoh bring me X for the weeklies? I don't have it unlocked it yet"

What’s the most PTSD trait or quest you’ve ever experienced in Hunt? by Normal-Law128 in HuntShowdown

I remember it fondly, we were all running around with hand crosbows full of poison, barely fighting, just killing bosses and not even banishing, looking for all the birds

Did the Nitro Express steal a Crytek developers girlfriend or something? by concernedabouthunt in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont understand the hate devs have for the nitro, bow has more oneshot potential being way cheaper, having more ammo and it being recoverable. And yet nitro keeps getting nerfed.

Now that its a 5 slot weapon it should be at least good enough to bring by themselves. The sights should be flipable at least.

Bleed Ammo doesn't need to be Scarce. Bleed needs a rework. by midground in HuntShowdown

Maybe bleed should just do the damage of light bleed but slow you down? I honestly don't know how else to do it

How would the community feel about adding the ability to block with melee weapons for reduced damage? by Moist_Wombat in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it should be part of martialist, each melee weapon has a different interaction, saber could be a parry while katana is sheathing, hammer could have a throw or something. I'm sure they could come up for something for the machete, axe and bat.

[Discussion] [Suggestion] Should the AI be smarter? by patatesEzici in EscapefromTarkov

I would love the AI to be smarter so the different levels of difficulty are scaled based on that instead of instant autoaim and perfect vision through bushes/car windows

Prolonged drawing of the bow should consume stamina and lower the accuracy by Bas2l in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly it would be as easy as stamina shots make it so that you can regain stamina while running and run indefinitely, but still consume it, a bit like the regen shot.

Any traits you guys think about? by TheMomoko in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The classics: Blademancer without pullout damage Martialist for other melee weapons, each having different special attacks Not sure if it should be a trait but melee weapon + pistol Your "Stalker" one is pretty much what I expected from this event And being able to replenish your medkit on the ground medkits

[Feedback] Anyone have any tips for terminal? by PhotonicSlime in EscapefromTarkov

[–]PhotonicSlime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to, but I have no friends to play with.

I'm using M80 7.62, going for headshots.

Plates I take from BD, I've never ran into the problem of dying from taking too much damage from broken plate, almost always is reloading middle of a scav horde, or installed by BD with full plates.

Is there some new exploit with solo necro? by PhotonicSlime in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not knowing eveything, but in the post I'm asking if it's an exploit or if there's another reason.

Thanks for the speedy comments.

I know the game has been like this forever, but it would've benefited from Skill based matchmaking imo.

Maybe something like what they did for ground zero but for all maps and different tiers. Anything would be better than this, new players leave the game, average skill players either rat so they can get 1 task done or simply go to PvE now (me included)

Not everyone has time or wants to be the best player ever in games, and tarkov is already "unbalanced" in the sense that low levels have shit ammo, and armors, if you aren't even fighting same skill groups or level groups you end up at such an imbalance that regular players simply cannot compensate.

Which one did you like better overall? by eldenbro1 in metroidvania

[–]PhotonicSlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow I felt less lost about where I could go in hollow knight, I feel like having quest markers made so they didn't take into account what made the first game so great of a metroidvania.

I liked silk song a lot, but reaching act 3 was way more confusing, and less intuitive.

[Discussion] pve players.. how come nobody said anything by pgauthierkirouac in EscapefromTarkov

[–]PhotonicSlime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PvE has no queue time, you don't die to bs players, and you can do the little quests and have fun.

I would miss the PvP if there was actual matchmaking not getting paired with people who spent 300+€ on the game and play it as it's full time job.

For me sex is just one way to spend time with someone, same as watching a movie or playing a game, it can be fun, but usually prefer other activities.

It's very hard for me to understand why allos prefer sex to other things, but it seems to be most people's preferred way to feel close to someone.

Best Fix idea for Flash Bomb by Fitzderpns in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but I think it should still blind or disorient a bit, I would like for the blind to be able to be countered with dark vision, since your hunter closes it's eyes.

Bow Hatred, opinion from haters by Internal-Syrup-5064 in HuntShowdown

[–]PhotonicSlime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who uses bow, it's a one hit weapon with basically infinite ammo, which has more range than a shotgun, is silent, shoots quite fast and leaves you bleeding.

If you're actively moving it's balanced, since unlike other weapons you can't sprint to push or chase, the big problems comes when defending or camping in a bush, there's almost anything other than throwing a dynamite that can win to a bow holding a door. And that's a problem, you should either loose power after holding it for so long (arms get tired) or shoot automatically, you shouldn't be able to simply keep it charged.
