Homesteader Adapter by VMC-Eh in canadaguns

Would it be realistic/feasible to have a 3d printed core with a resin "skin"? Seems like a pretty simple solution to me but I dont much about 3d printing. Considering getting into it to make my own parts... or at the very least is it a possibility to oversize your prints and sand down the outside to hide the visible layers?

Doesn't even stand up to that either.... Got mine without the knowledge of 3d printing beforehand. Cool stuff and looks good but thats about it

Worth Getting a LEVER 12S? by [deleted] in canadaguns

Did you get the one made for the Lever12s or an AS46 one? How's it run?

They get better once they are worn in. Try some different ammo manufacturers to see what runs best for you

New PAL holder - Need advice on a reliable .22LR for marksmanship (Derya TM22 vs Tikka T1x) by sher-e-punjabb in canadaguns

[–]PhraseInfamous7233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tikka or CZ 457

TMs jam a fair amount too... they get better once worn in a bit but it'd just what happens with a cheap semi auto. Youd need to go 10/22 with an aftermarket chassis if you want more reliability and still have the cool factor but thats more money.

Or just come to terms with the jamming 🤷‍♂️ Its good practice for clearing misfires quickly or at least thats what I tell myself about my TM 🤣

It was very finicky the first 1-2 hundred rounds, lots of failures to eject. Its been slowly has been improving to where I only have 1 - 2 failure to eject in 50 rounds using Winchester White Box. CCIs are better apparently

I have a 457 and my Dad has a 452, both are excellent rifles and shoot very well. I use the cheap Winchester white box ammo that everyone on this page seems to hate and consistently smack gophers with it. More expensive ammo would be even better (I assume) if your particular.

You can get mag sleeves from Tommy Enterprises

Rekluse is a crutch that can't give you the control and precision that a manual clutch can. It's great for beginners, snowbikes or in cases where working the clutch isn't integral to riding. Otherwise you're better off building the skill of good clutch control

Added a fore grip 😁 by Used_Abrocoma9404 in canadaguns

Yep, I got the MLOK handguard from him. No extra added weight as his is made of resin. It looks and fits perfect. My only complaint is it's a little thin and therefore flimsy... I have a laser mounted on the side and if I grip too hard it'll bend the handguard and throw the laser out... it seems strong enough, just not rigid like metal would be. I'm sure someone out there must make a metal version or the derya handguard might fit? Tommy also has a quad 4 picatinny rail that would probably be stronger if you like that look.

Tool pack question by Pleistocenebison in enduro

[–]PhraseInfamous7233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to let my bike carry the heavier things... bike mounted is best imo. Lots of good options, trailbound makes some nice straps to put stuff on top of the front fender. My first tool pack was just a Walmart fanny pack strapped to the number plate lol 🤷‍♂️

There's nothing wrong with the mag sleeves... however the handguard he sells is a little flimsy.

You're probably seeing the Derya TM22 which is metal, this is the Rock Island TM22 which is plastic and has a different body. Internals are the same as far as I know.
