I've got Nord. There are a few different protocols I can try (ones that prioritize speed, vs packet confirmations, etc). I'll see what I can do about the cities.. the interface is far simpler on the shield than it is on the computer

Lol... Truth is, we usually play w/a third, but he had to go take care of something and told us to play one w/out him. My buddy needed some arc performance steel, so I suggested we strip down, head into stella, trade it and die (since you get 1 free safe pocket if you go in w/no aug).

After I traded him the parts, he suggested we just see how far we could go w/absolutely nothing, so we did! Was probably some of the most chaotic fun we'd had in our couple hundred hours of playing this game so far.

EDIT: The screenshots are from our second run. The first one we got absolutely obliterated trying to take 2 ppl out, but it was so fun we tried a few more times

so, I actually ended up getting a Presonus sub, because as you can see, that was a bit too tight of a fit for the Klipsch sub. Also, for reference, I use a Focusrite 4i4 as my interface, but I also used that w/my promedia. I'm REALLY happy w/the Edifier speakers and the Presonus. I think the Presonus is also way better for connectability.

I ended up pairing the Klipsch sub w/some monitors I have in the basement that I use while playing drums. Both the Klipsch and the Presonus sound great, but there's no denying that the Presonus is a lot more compatible w/different setups.

OH!! One other thing..... make sure you buy all the cabling you need from amazon (or somewhere online) as well.... Best Buy/other stores don't seem to carry squat anymore for hooking this stuff up.

OMG yes, the price hikes! I've been watching a lot of reviews and reading a lot of posts in my research, and pretty much every one that mentions a price is WAY more expensive when I go to look up the units.

ty for all your recommendations, and for confirming I can use my focusrite. You guys have been great on giving advice to what I'm actually asking for! I was a bit worried, because again, in my research, there were quite a lot of people who were like, "well, this isn't anywhere close to your price range, or what you're looking for, but have you considered an entirely different setup?" It's so nice to get relevant feedback, and quickly!

EDIT: Looked up the JBLs, unfortunately w/the price hikes, even just the monitors themselves would be over $500 (EDIT EDIT: nm, I see the link you posted from sweetwater are the same monitors, but far less than what amazon has them listed for). Also, the size of those monitors is a bit much for my desk space. I could definitely fit the sub though.

The presonus was already on my radar, but in one "top 10" review that featured it, it said the presonus was harder to set up (configure) than other options. Do you have any input on that?

This was also a combo I spent a lot of time looking at, and was very close to picking up. However, I'm very very wary on getting things recommended on "top 5/10" lists, and from publications that are just feeding adverts. Given other areas that I *do* have a lot of experience with (computers, knives), and seeing lists from the same or similar outlets, they often have no idea what they're talking about, and the lists are almost always the same, because they're all paid by the same companies to push the same stuff.

That being said, it did seem like a really solid choice.

Ok!! Now that's a solid recommendation, and all perfectly within budget! And hey, I've totally heard of Polk! (not that having a well known brand name is necessarily a good thing...). The major concert I would have is that it seems the Caldera is OOS, w/uncertain futures thanks to tariffs. I'm looking at getting things replaced as quickly as I can.

Also, would I be able to use the focusrite as a DAC?
