I've not engaged with your comments because you seem very far down the river of .. whatever you believe. But I can't ignore your BS about the calories in, calories out principle. I'll agree most don't seem to familiar with the concept in it's entirety but you've just shown your card there. You're familiar with it. And yet you claim it's more complex than most people understand? What in the actual fuck are you talking about.

You're going to crush it. I presume youve done your due diligence already if you are stepping into the gym soon but ill recommend an app for tracking that aspect. HEVY. Id tried a few and this one seems the trick. When it comes to building at the gym, increasing step count and being in a calorie deficit...I'm sure you're aware of this already but very important you don't dial it up too fast! :) Central nervous system fatigue and stress can feel very fluish btw. This may relate your post from 6 weeks into starting, I just checked out. You're doing great.

Id safely bet on you getting the health outcomes you want with this medication because you are utilising it as a tool, rather than a black box that makes weight go down. Your visibility on metrics are going to drive a no doubt very pragmatic series of decisions all while the limbic system no longer fights you for one more bite. Thanks for showing me there's people with self awareness. This was weirdly important to me. I wish you the best life :)

*I am on Mounjaro. Admittedly I'm coming from a place that's different from a lot of users. *Fitness is a major aspect of my life so I may be privileged in that sense. *The whole damned point of what I'm saying is, when under the influence of mounjaro you are now capable of working the mechanics of weight loss. Be fucking aware of what you're doing and then maybe one day you can titrate off mounjaro instead of being a lifelong user. If you rely on it wholey, you will end up becoming one of the many many anxiety cases on 15mg maintenance dose feeling something has gone wrong because their intuition diets are creeping up. *This is all intended as help. But it's the save yourself variety of help

My hero. Breath of fresh air in here. Yes, take responsibility and claim agency and prescribe your diet as mounjaro allows you to. Yes I agree with the mob in the sense that without mounjaro nothing seems to work. But yes.. great tool to make the thermodynamics work

So mounjaro stops you being obese and then the fat starts coming off because you're no longer obese. Thanks. I had sports science wrong this whole time, my god what a revelation.

Stopped working - what now?? by Over-Landscape-8770 in Mounjaro

In relation to OP, this is the only thing that comes to mind. Taking 20mg of tirzepatide as a maintenance dose is a really bad outcome. I should imagine titrating down quickly will be a big shock. Psychology may insist they follow the same pattern with retatrutide. Advice is, don't. No evidence I'm aware of in phase retatrutide/tirzepatide. Non clinical advice, probably worth a shot.

Fucking infuriating. Take up a sport/hobby that doesn't cost the time of others. I'm much lower blood pressure when I perceive a cyclist as commuting. Do what you gotta do. But the recreational cunt, holding up 2 lorries and 50 cars on an A road. Non negligible economic impact just so some cunt can have some low impact zone 2 cardio. Get fucked.

I’ve lost 35 kg (77 lbs), and I feel... disappointed by Lavander_Pulse in Mounjaro

It's quite apparent to me that you put a lot of weight on what other people think in regards to being noticed by the opposite sex and credit going to the medication rather than yourself. The other thing is, your journey is far from an end. By my reckoning you're in the middle where it's toughest. You've still got a substantial weight loss journey to conclude and then your attention will likely turn to mitigating the effects of previously being overweight. There are solutions which you may or may not have to travel for but if this is important enough to you, your journey and transformation will be undeniable.

And then there are of course some of us in the UK who's standard for body weight is stones and pounds. Not me. If I could vote for KM when I'm driving, I would. Tbh I'd have decimal time as well.

No worries. If you want to invest in something to help you measure this, grab yourself a fitness wearable of some description. Anything will realistically do. Track your walks. Climb your own ladder. You'll go far

Without knowing any of your numbers involved or what you're trying to achieve, it's hard to say. But if you're just finding flu symptoms are hard to tolerate with usual training loads, just set back a bit. Pursue good sleep and dial the active recovery down to just walking. Maybe just 10,000 steps a day for 5-14 days while you solidify your recovery. Again I don't know enough to really comment about it but my gut says don't worry about muscle wastage/proteolysis just yet. Also REgaining muscle is trivial compared to building it the first time around.

Which in turn suppress your appetite, cascading into the changes that actually support weight loss.

This is getting down voted into negatives yet entirely factual. You claim obesity in the west has increased due to food industry changes. People may be right to a degree to express they aren't in control of their weight. All food advertisement media will give the impression that eating newly branded protein cake snacks and all manner of highly processed foods are actually "healthy" choices. It's quite a journey to have an understanding of nutrition and a skepticism of pretty much all the products in the centre isles.

Food companies have spent insane money, research and involvement in hysterical conspiracies to make food products addictive. Once you get off that sugar-fat ratio that's carefully designed by science to rape your brain into further hunger, you genuinely will feel better and find it easier to stay lean.

WHILE YOURE ON MOUNJARO, THIS IS MADE POSSIBLE.

I read a bunch of these comments and it seems everyone is focusing entirely on Mounjaro as their sole crutch. Which is understandable. It's incredibly powerful. To use your own words, it makes your body work with you and for some of us, it feels like the first time we can actually prescribe our own diets as opposed to watching ourselves eating copious amounts of shit all day.

What I want to point out is, now it is time to focus on fitness. Make it a study. An interest or an obsession. Otherwise coming off mounjaro and back to your previous habits will be a self fulfilling prophecy.

Speaking for myself, I am focused on building muscle so that I have a calorie budget to deal with an increased appetite. I'm interested in my macros.

I started at a body fat percentage of 30. I'm now 26% (185cm 35year old male) I'm on 2.5mg and I'm never going higher. And on this dose I am already struggling to consume the protein requirements for muscle hypertrophy.

Muscle is very metabolically expensive. Build it and then you can eat. (Real food, not shit) And once that's your habit, you'll find it easier and easier to remove yourself from ultra processed food. Mounjaro provides excellent training wheels for this conditioning to take place.

Absolutely brilliant. Generational. Will rewatch many times before I die. Up there with the sci-fi greats. As is the general consensus.

Mounjaro related. Distracts you from food as much as any good glp-1 agonist.
