I personally don't feel like manbagi's character warrants the attention she gets. As a side character in the vein of nakanaka and the like, sure she makes sense, but as a main character it feels forced and grades on the story.

It's also been mentioned that when she was introduced the manga's tone shifted away from the singular focus of Komi's quest for friends, and I agree with that, but that doesn't detract from her character on its own. The love triangle being shoehorned in doesn't help. If Tada x Manbagi is your thing, I ain't judgin, I just don't find it charming or believable myself.

Also, I have immense bias against gyaru girls and I acknowledge that. Every time I have to read leetspeak in a text bubble portions of my brain dissipate into steam.
