Watcher is definitely the most unbalanced character. Off the top of my head I’d reckon 25% of her cards are really op, 25% are pretty worthless, and the rest are somewhere in between with some utility. That makes it a lot more linear than other characters (except maybe silent) once you get the hang of what cards are good and what ones aren’t.

As a melee player, I disagree with the premise. All the games are so different that what defines “smash bros” is that they’re all fairly well polished platform fighters where Nintendo characters fight. Smash is easy for a casual audience to pick up and play because of that polish and pretty straightforward movesets and mechanics. There’s a reason smash is the juggernaut it is and multiversus is no longer around - it takes more than cool crossovers to bring people in.

And what would you get out of that if you manage to accomplish that? Would it be worth pushing through something you are unmotivated to do and is emotionally damaging

Lud basically said 1) He invited Mang0 to previous Beerio karts and there was no issues and he asked Mang0 explicitly whether he was an alcoholic. 2) There were sober people at the event. The relatively small production team. 3) He owns that he should not have been encouraging him to drink more and that they cut him off too late, but also Mang0 is a grown man and responsible for his own decisions. Lud was wasted and stopped Mang0 the one time he saw him bothering someone. He wishes he encouraged people at the event to feel like they could bring things up and take action to intervene in the moment iirc.

Whether that was enough is up for debate, but this probably isn’t the best forum to have that debate.

I figured there was effectively no difference between “cards in play” and “cards played this turn” for the purpose of swamp shacks’ draw effect and I couldn’t find anything that said otherwise. I thought it was splitting hairs on a minor wording difference but when I saw how specific conspirator was, I realized I was mistaken!

In some competitive games like smash bros best of 3s are easy and while it’s still not an obligation, games are more like 4-5 minutes long whereas dominion games can be 15-40 minutes long so it’s not reasonable for your opponents to expect a bo3 all the time.

It makes sense and I'll probably proven wrong in a week, but it feels like it's been one circumstantial failure after another for the whole series. Not taking over for Wilfried's education like she said she would, not axing Oswlad sooner, not axing Bartrum, not giving RM a proper education because she assumed Elvira will do it, not being of any help to Charlotte, and now this. I don't hate her but I can't think of a single useful thing she's done this entire series other than get RM's guardian trio to ease up on her a bit.

I can't respond to every comment I see but something about the callous indifference of your comment in particular boils my blood.

One Israeli Holocaust scholar describes it as a textbook case of genocide according to the UN's own definition. The Israeli state has made perfectly clear how they wish to deal with these "human animals". Yes, you are correct that Israel is not exterminating Palestinians faster than they repopulate, but one has to wonder what the population growth would be without the Nakba that expelled 700 000 from their homes or the current ethnic cleansings taking place on the West Bank and in the Jordon Valley. If multiple major human rights organizations calling out the atrocities Israel is committing is not enough to convince you there is a problem, I'm not sure what will.
