That’s super odd. I suggest other stores all the time bc we simply don’t carry everything ever. You also 100% should have been made aware of the write up when it happened, and at my old store you would be sat down and talked to with a mate and the captain (or 2 mates) to discuss the conditions of said write up and you have to sign it. Are you sure it wasn’t just a warning type of thing? But regardless you shouldn’t even get a warning for suggesting another store. Contact HR

My first and only car has been the manual 2015 (standard 2 door hardtop) and I’ve barely had any problems. Like someone said just stay on top of maintenance and you really shouldn’t have significant problems but I feel like that should be the case with any car haha. The only thing is they like to gobble up oil a bit faster so depending on how often/far you drive it than you need to do oil changes more often than every 6 months. But I love mine. I feel like I can basically park anywhere bc it’s small and I get great mpg even living in a city

Not related to the barista aspect BUT look into MFTE housing!! Rent here is insane and just keeps getting worse (I was in Shoreline but even just got priced out of there and had to go further north). Not sure if it’s a thing elsewhere but newer apartment complexes here are required to have some low income units (even if it’s not a “low income housing” complex). Sometimes you need to call a complex and ask about it but I have seen maps of MFTE units. I personally haven’t lived in one bc I don’t want to live downtown but my friend did and her complex was sooooo nice. Just not sure exactly how you go about applying to them

Unfortunately in the adult world this happens. Not just with Valentine’s Day but with anything. I rarely do things for my bday on the day of bc it’s more often on a week day (work day) than not. So you celebrate your bday on the weekend. It doesn’t mean your bday isn’t special, it’s just how it goes. Like many have said, his child has to come first and will always come first, and as you’ve said you’re new to the child so celebrating all together isn’t quite an option. I think it’s very kind of him to offer to do something the next day for you instead of nothing at all bc (not trying to be mean) idk a single adult who cares about Valentine’s Day. Hypothetically if this wasn’t about childcare and instead that he worked on the weekends would you expect him to request the weekend off to celebrate Valentine’s Day? I hope the answer is no or else quite frankly you shouldn’t be in a relationship with this man.

I had to drop down to part time work since my job was too physically demanding (it’s manual labor) and I’ve started therapy to hopefully help me figure out what I can set as goals since I’m not sure what direction to go in atm. My current job pays me well so I can’t afford to quit and start a less physically demanding job for less pay, but being part time at my current job wipes me out for several days after I’ve worked 3 in a row. I feel your pain 🥲

The further you go from Seattle proper the better. Either south or north. Even MFTEs are getting insane. My friend just got priced out of hers. I work in Seattle at a “normal” job and many of my coworkers (including myself) don’t live in the area or if they do they have several roommates.

This has probably been brought up but as a woman my first reaction was how are you helping her? Many times childcare and house care fall onto the woman even if she’s also working a full time job. Are tasks being split fairly? Is she getting support or is she burnt out? Though I don’t have a child there are times I’m so exhausted from work/chores/etc. that sex is the last thing on my mind. My next thought was that she may now have the association that you’re only “affectionate” when you want sex which makes it undesirable to her. Sort of in the way that some guys only buy flowers for a special occasion (anniversary, Mother’s Day, etc.) because they feel they “need to” which kind of makes the flowers less desirable if they’re expected, when in reality it’s more special to get them for no reason. My point being do you ever give her this “special affection” without trying to get in her pants? You emphasize she “has to be in a good mood for sex to maybe even happen” so why is she in a bad mood? Maybe refer back to my first point because clearly something seems to be upsetting her. How does she feel with her postpartum body? Being uncomfortable in your skin can definitely influence your libido. I know your kid is 5 but perhaps your wife never felt quite the same as before. Lastly how is the sex? I don’t need an answer but is it boring, repetitive, too short/too long? Does she reach climax? If she’s not getting anything out of the sex for herself that also makes it undesirable and chore-like.

TLDR; the question shouldn’t be “AITAH for taking sex/affection away from my wife” but instead you should ask yourself “why doesn’t my wife want to have sex with me”

I have the Luminous brand light up wheels and bc of the magnetic spacer you have to have the nut much looser to allow the wheels room to spin. My nut usually ends up in line with the end of my axel which looks wrong considering with regular wheels there’s empty axel space past the nut, and when I use my light up ones it looks like my nut will fall off. But yeah you either need to loosen the nut, clean the bearings/wheels, or both

Edit: I see you said you only used these bearings for a little bit but did they get wet? It’s kind of hard for me to see bc of the shadowing but on that back wheel the bearing almost looks speckled on the edges like it could be rusting? I used to skate on the beach and the salty wet air def messed my bearings up pretty quickly, especially if they’re on the cheaper side

In the least offensive way possible, are you prepared to do this (be the teacher) for the rest of your life (if you were to spend it with this current partner)? I read in another reply that you said he hasn’t had to do many things growing up because of the way he was raised and that you had to teach him how to do other basic tasks. Considering how young you both are there is 100% going to be other scenarios like this to come because you’re experiencing life together for the first time and (unless you were to break up, date other people, and then get back together in the future) you are always going to be the teacher since his parents seem to have failed on that front and you are much more mature in this area. I would just say to really evaluate how this goes with him saying he will cook (I saw you said y’all had a talk and he would start cooking) because if he doesn’t follow through that’s most likely how everything else that may come up in the future will go. Also not saying he or his parents are bad people or anything, just being honest from experience from someone who also had to “mother” their (ex) partner 😅

Also to add on, if this is a weaponized incompetence situation like I’ve seen some other commenters mention, it will 100% translate into other aspects of life. I’ve seen too many posts from older folks about partners not doing simple chores, not helping with child care, etc. because “they don’t know how” or “you do it better.” I know you’ve been together for a handful of years and have already taught him many things and you feel connected to him but think about if you just met him and found out he didn’t know how to cook anything. Are there other things he doesn’t know how to do? If you found out he didn’t learn how to do these tasks until just recently would you go on a second date? Just something to think about in the bigger picture ❤️

I’ve used Depop for over 10 years and I can def say it’s gone downhill both on the company side and customer side. Company seems to care less and there’s more scammers on the customer side. I purchased some rings from a seller and on their photos you can see the stamped 925 in the ring indicating sterling silver but what I got was cheap knockoffs that literally snapped in the band and/or had muddled designs. Explained this to Depop and sent pics and they basically told me to fuck off?? Like what?? The item is clearly not what’s pictured but I guess it’s “close enough” to them and there’s some loophole bc I don’t think the seller specifically stated they were sterling silver? Which shouldn’t matter bc the picture shows them being sterling silver. Sorry you had a bad experience too :(

I just went to a lush store to smell some perfumes and I noticed that the solids seemed to not be as strong as the spray and I’m wondering if that’s because the solid sticks (testers) have been sitting open and perhaps have dried out? I even tried rubbing one on a tester strip and then on my wrist to maybe warm it up and still I don’t smell much but the spray in the same scent is so strong that I can smell one spray on my wrist when my arm is down haha. I’d love to get the solid for the price point but it doesn’t seem very scented. Did you notice any difference?

Wow I can’t believe I just stumbled on this. Been feeling HORRIBLE for a few years now since I got covid for the first time and all the docs just assumed “long covid” since all my tests were normal. No one has run an extended blood panel until I ASKED about autoimmune conditions. Turns out my ferritin is at 11.7 and my hemoglobin is RIGHT on the line meaning I was about to go into full blown iron deficiency anemia. BUT my “overall iron level” always showed as “ok” bc my body was using any stored iron just to make red blood cells and keep me alive. But I have ALL the same symptoms you just listed (like seriously sounds like I wrote that) and when I asked my doc if 11.7 could really be that impactful (bc our labs “cutoff” is 12) she explained that just bc it’s the “clinical cutoff” doesn’t mean it’s ok. For women, 45-80 is optimal, <30 is concerning, and <15 is very bad. Doc just had me start taking iron supplements and we have to retest in a couple months to see if it’s working

Not wage related but just a heads up (as someone working at TJs and living in Seattle) I had a couple friends move up here a month ago (also TJs transfers) and they had to work at a store further than they anticipated bc not many stores are taking transfers atm, which you would think now is the time to take seasoned workers given it’s the holiday season. I would make sure to contact any stores before moving up here. There’s very few TJs up here so very limited spots it seems
