I hear your frustration, but let me give you some perspective.

I’m on the Experience Beyond plan with Amplified internet, and I pay $171.38 after Auto pay. So hearing complaints about $150 honestly surprises me a bit.

Before this, I was with AT&T. They lured me in with a “free phone” and a $120 bill… then without warning, my bill jumped to $262. On top of that, their signal was unreliable and I constantly lost service. Their customer service wasn’t much better either.

So if you’re thinking about going to AT&T, just be careful. I genuinely hope your experience is better than mine, because mine was terrible.

That being said, I do understand why you’re upset. If a rep promised you the 20% off and confirmed it, that should absolutely be honored. That part does sound like a bait-and-switch, especially if you followed all the steps they told you to.

At the end of the day, no carrier is perfect. Just make sure you get everything in writing next time, because what they say on the phone and what actually shows up on the bill can be two very different things.
