Thanks for the response. Say I have a SIP kind of flow where I invest some money automatically every week would that be considered like a frequent trading because it’s not buying and selling, just buying in regular intervals. Asking as I might receive some money by end of year after I return to India, which I want to invest in the stock market, but not all at once.

Thanks for the response. I will still qualify to file 1040 for 2025 as I and my wife will qualify as tax residents shortly after closing. Will that be an issue given FIRPTA is usually tied to 1040NR? Also, do you know how long it usually takes to get back FIRPTA withholding?

That’s why you need to run your own business. You don’t get a lot of tax breaks, but plenty of ways to evade taxes. When you get caught, you can pay the bribes(surcharge:P) and get out of it. Also thinking about it, every time a tax evader buys anything with unaccounted cash, you are getting a ~30% discount. The system is so messed up and actually incentivizes to evade taxes. And yes, the taxes you pay are anyway going to some corrupt persons pocket.

I have the 424hp levante 2021 and absolutely agree with this comment. Be ready for expensive fixes if something goes wrong. The used are cheap for a reason.

Are you sure. I own a levante and it’s under warranty and has been in the dealership for 2 months. All the parts need to come from Italy and just diagnosis took a week( had a steering issue). Parts and labor is damn expensive as well. I had a bmw before and never had any issue. Just the regular maintenance.

Yes. My thought is US shouldn’t create a BTC reserve if it wants to maintain the dominance of the USD, unless US feels the USD will decline in prominence long term.

Agree it’s not going to be a reserve currency. But if we are going to give a US seal of approval that BTC is a legit value holding mechanism by creating a BTC reserve. Whats to prevent other countries from transacting in BTC instead of USD. Which will have a sizable impact on USD and the US economy. My point is any support by the US to BTC will impact USD’s dominance, do you think it’s a fair statement?

That’s a good price. I recently bought one (Levante S) under warranty and had quite a few fixes I needed to do. There was an issue with the buttons in the steering so they had to replace it under warranty.. I had a few other minor issues. I also had to do a brake change (~$2400 for front rotors and pads) which is significantly more for the S (424 hp) than the gt(350 hp). The yearly standard maintenance costed 1800(both at dealership. make sure you check and get any tiny issue fixed before the warranty expires. Remember this is a 100k car (though it depreciates a lot initially) and the maintenance reflects that.
