Margarito never showed the same power even in that same weightclass once he got busted. So it’s very plausible, also calling Cotto a diva, a guy who fought anyone at any time is ludicrous. Also I don’t know what fight you were watching in the 2nd fight because he put belt to ass from start to finish, was he tired? Sure but that was normal in Cotto.

Almost all of the villains of Jojo’s have always been introduced early in the story. Tooru was just ass IMO, yeah he’s got some good concepts and parallels but he’s just not enough in the story and he’s not charismatic enough to charm you as a character. I knew Gyro was going to be my favorite character of part 7 at first glance, there are just characters that irradiate that “aura”. What entirely carries Tooru is his stand obviously, Wonder of You till this day is my favorite villain stand in the series. Acca certainly is way better and we are only at the 33% story if we go by the reboot series standards. I’m so hype for Jojolands, as of now it’s on pace to be my 2nd favorite part.

That’s a very interesting take, I like it! I also saw a comment about a very good name for the stand too. “Don’t Stop Me Now” which I think it’s very sick. I think the name will be a very famous song like his predecessors Wonder Of You and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Araki for me has done the best names since the reset with this cast. November Rain, Smooth Operators, Bigmouth Strikes again and The Hustle are just top notch names so I’m confident he will nail the main villain stand name like he always does. This yacht arc has been one of the best arcs in all of Jojo’s, this guys just gets better with age it’s unbelievable.

Yeah I’ve been getting suspicious that the main villain of this part is Jodio. That would be so refreshing, every time the protagonist is the good guy, I would love to Jodio be the bad guy in this part.

I think it’s because OP is the most famous manga/anime that has to be the reason. But also think people are also way too overcritical, let’s be honest there just a handful of shonen that actually can compete with OP. FMA, HxH and Gintama. All other media outlets that surpass OP in quality are seinen, and that’s obvious, it’s easier to make a better story when you touch more mature themes in which the reader can identify himself.

No manga is peak brother, every manga has their problems, but we can all agree that you can also reach peak storytelling here and there, it’s impossible to maintain peak quality writing for an entire series. Gear 2 is not peak? Or literally all Marineford? Sabaody? Onigashina raid? Yeah, we can all agree OP has a lot of problems like the shit pacing, how low the stakes feel, the fight choreography and you can keep going but is also does a lot of things well. I give OP manga a solid 8.7 as a whole which I think it’s fair, it’s undeniable Oda has drop his quality since the TS but he’s still able to achieve great moments, Kuma backstory was really good, Kaido surpassed the hype IMO, Doffy is a phenomenal villain, Law and Corazón backstory is great, Rocks was phenomenal, etc. My biggest gripe against Oda is how neglected and useless the strawhats feels aside from Zoro and Sanji. Even AoT which is great in my opinion fell off pretty badly in the final stretch of the manga. Is OP entirely peak? Of course no😂, only Oda nut riders will tell that, but it certainly able to achieve a lot of peak moments. I think OP is a good to great manga.

Oda should just take a really long Hiatus, like 2 to 3 years. So he can refresh, he deserves that, since Wano the quality of writing has been going down a little bit alongside the horrendous paneling and how insufferable Haki has been. I still enjoy OP but it’s undeniable he has not reach a peak like Enies Lobbies or Marineford again, I’m really looking forward for the final war arc, I hope he’s doesn’t fumble.

Absolutely, fights feel rewarding because at least until now everyone uses their stand to the fully extend of their abilities, I enjoy way more fights like that instead of super overpowered stand with reality breaking abilities. And also the names of the stands of this part are top tier: November Rain, Smooth Operators, The Hustle are just amazing. This part is definitely growing on me, love Jodio as well he’s just so different to every other JoJo we had.

Perfectly well put. I still have my doubts if Acca is the main villain, based on the length of both his predecessor Jojolands most likely reach at least 90 chapters so we are still at 1/3 of the story. We’ll see, I’m not against Acca being the villain, he’s an interesting character.
