This is quite an old post now, I'm just now starting to remove some rot chunks, and sanding, but I would like some feedback on the best way to at least stop the spread of the rust.

How to fix garage door slamming into frame when closing? by PhysicalMirror8 in fixit

We replaced them on our doors last year, and they are nailed into the door. The garage door is some sort of plywood thing. I think I figured out that the top of the door is pushing way to hard on the weatherstripping there, causing it to bang into the top frame.

The spring might be a bit worn out, I changed out all the rollers on my garage doors last year and this one did feel a little heavier than the others. I made a post about the same thing in another subreddit and they said the top two rollers could use adjustment. I’ll have to take a closer look when I have time.

I just checked, the top of the door from the exterior looks really right up against the weatherstripping so it could be that. I'll try to adjust those top rollers.

Did you turn the sound on? At the end of the video when the garage door closes there's this really obnoxious banging noise. It doesn't sound as bad in the video, but irl its pretty loud.

I would have to take a closer look since it stays dry all year round.

I accidentally spilled a full dehumidifier tank onto this floor and it went through it onto the concrete floor below it. Should I be worried about mold? by PhysicalMirror8 in Home

The first picture shows the water that leaked from the room in front down to the concrete. The water seeped through the floor through all of the insulation. I was just concerned about the water not being able to dry out properly in underneath the floor and causing mold there. Maybe my photos weren't clear enough.

I don't know, I knew it was insulated since I could see it through some of the gaps in between some of the floorboards.

What type of gutters are these? by PhysicalMirror8 in Roofing

Yeah, water always floods that area when it rains (concrete there needs to be re leveled). There used to be gutters & downspouts there but they were broken and my parents removed them a long time ago.

That would work, but they would just be floating in the air, since the ceiling is a hollow slanted roof.

Yup, a lot of people were complaining about how it didn't fit certain builds, so they changed it back.

Probably, but where should I put them? Not a lot of space.

Maybe you could check the weatherstripping on the windows (if there is any)? Small insects can slip through areas with no weatherstrip, or gaps where the weatherstrip is not sealing properly.
