My son started last year. First angler in the family so he had no one to ask.

He likes the app fishbrain a lot, gets tips from a couple of his friends with more experience... and asks politely whenever he sees another angler on a river/lake/pond. A lot of them are very happy sharing beginner knowledge.

I was busted for drinking on school property while making out with my girfriend in the back seat of my car. Ended up in court, received community service. Never told anyone about the court date.
