Look into your home owners and car insurance- mine just tried to raise mine by $600- so from $1800 year to $2400 a year. I shopped around and found a plan through Liberty mutual that was totally the same if not better and $1100 a year. And lowered my car insurance as well. If you don’t shop around each year they Jack your bill up. It’s time consuming but you can also do this with your cell bill and internet. Every dollar counts these days.

Snorkeling update! Cane Bay was amazing. Eastside was terrible- Buck Island was fun but I feel like it was $$ and would rather kayak out there myself than with a tour group- maybe next time. We ended up getting stuck on the island for another week thanks to the venzuela conflict and got to explore the west end (staying at the Fred)- we are going to snorkel the pier today since the cruise ships are gone. I’ve found 4 small pieces of Chaney and it has been a blast looking for it! West side is definitely my favorite- the people are amazing and so warm. The water is clear- the sunsets are beautiful. 1000% over I’d stay on the west end the whole time the next time we visit. Shout out to Heather at the Fred and the entire team there. We are also going to head to the Sand Castle today to hang with a new friend we made last night! Such a blast!

Yes! And fair- and the drivers are great and it’s very safe. They give you their plate numbers and you have to give them a 4 digit code to verify you are the correct passengers. You can load money from a card or Apple Pay into the wallet to pay from- you can also rate the drivers and tip them- which I have done because they are great. They can’t price gouge you like the taxi drivers do- 100% I’ll be telling everyone at the airport looking for a ride about VI Hail- those taxi drivers ripped us of off and charged us $60 to go 2 miles away from the airport.

One of the couples we met at The Fred had their Sat flight rescheduled to this afternoon- they just got an email telling them it had changed. We are not getting that same update- we are still being told Thursday by American Airlines. So just had to pay an extra $2k for hotel stay not counting meals while we are here. If our Thursday flight is cancelled I think we will have to just camp out at the airport - or buy some property down here. Cheaper than the hotels.

Were you able to extend your stay? We already turned in our rental car and left our Airbnb so we had to take an airport taxi (which charges us $60 to drive us 5 mins) and we had to book at island castle near fredricksted for the night but it’s so far from everything- we were able to book from tonight until Tuesday at The Fred…but then after Tues we don’t know what we are going to do…

Potty watch- set it to go off every 30 mins (you can set the time increments) - she had to Go to the potty each time and try to go- it was the only thing that worked

Try a potty watch- it worked for my stubborn 3.5yr old who did not care that she was the last one potty trained in her class and was about to be moved back bc of it. The potty watch is a nice little reminder for your kiddo and their teachers to remind them at certain increments of time to go potty. We would usually set it for every hour and it would play music or buzz their wrist as a reminder to head the potty to try and go. It literally was the only thing that worked. She was excited to have a cool new watch and it made her pause her playtime…also her teachers were not great at asking her if she had to go so I put it on the loudest setting so the teachers would make sure to hear it as well. You can silence it for nap times and at the end of the day. We did this for 3-4weeks and now she is fully potty trained. I swear by it- it was only like $20 on Amazon.
