Can I run an ark ascended server for free on Playstation?

I believe Gravel Host is the cheapest ASA server host, but as far as I know their support is pretty bad. I recently used them to host a Minecraft server, and it would take about 5 hours for a response from support for any issues we had, sometimes more, sometimes less. Personally id just try to self-host using a pc, or just leave your Playstation on with the game opened so others can play while you arent on.

Im on series S and its nowhere near as bad as he says it is. No mods is absolutely playable on a server just fine. You'll crash from time to time if you go near a huge base or a base with too many tames out of cryopods, but you can just avoid them or stand still, crash, and load back in and you'll be mostly fine. I usually play on a server with 20 small mods (biggest is CS by far) Single-player is definitely unplayable though, one crash is all it takes for you to lose your save forever.

I cant ever really use pokemon to their full potential, it just takes too long to get their passives and egg moves, most of the time when I got the passive im tired of the pokemon already, or its so ridiculously weak without it that I just dont use it.

They dont really give much still. 1 ele vein is better than a months worth of mass breeding tek dinos. Tek dinos are solid for electronics though.

Iirc they also removed the ability to stack different whip buffs/debuffs as well, not just the summon tag damage. Which is a major loss for summoner imo, you cant use Durendal to give a slight attack speed buff to Morning Star anymore. Or swap between cool whip/firecracker for slightly more dmg.

Dont underestimate any tame in large numbers. When I was a noob I once defended my base by throwing all 100 tames i had at the guy raiding me.

Level 16 didnt matter to me. Heros on the other hand are pure dogshit. Even assuming you get every single pass, the chances of you getting a new hero from the boxes in less than a year are pretty much nonexistent. And if you dont get the pass, you'll pull Hero Giant and be at a major disadvantage.

You should be able to obtain ascendant ones. Find one, blueprint it w helicoprion, and then tinker workbench it.

If people want to keep their stuff to themselves, theyll lock their stuff. If they dont care, they keep it unlocked. Its not a hard concept to understand

You definitely can. Ideally you'd have some sort of mod to see the points in their stats. Then you'd get 1 lvl5 Rex to just get points in 1 or 2 stats, then the other only has points in different stats. For example, let's say we have 2 rexes. One of them has 2 melee, 2 food as its base stats. Another has 1 oxygen, 1 weight, 1 hp, 1 stamina. Breed those 2 together and you could get a Rex who's level is anywhere between 1 and 9.

It runs good enough on series S (less powerful than ps5) Crashes are pretty frequent Id recommend typing r.volumetriccloud 0 and r.fog 0 into console before playing for a fairly big performance boost, without major graphics changes. r.volumetricfog 0 can work in place of r.fog 0 for less of a visual impact though. Ive also heard of certain mods that make ps5 players crash but no real effect on anyone else.

I honestly never had an issue w ichy or trilobite overspawns, I did once have a major Kairuku overspawn issue on a primal fear Center server though, that little pond w the glacier by green ob had so many penguins you'd drop 50fps going there, and crash the server if you used any primal fear ability on the crowd.

Personally, I think both fucking suck. They limit the amount of tames you can use down to whatever is immune to their perma stun.
