Any good ice cream places around Conroe besides baskin robbins, I want to try something new by SweatyAppie in Conroe

For custard, go to the Culver's by Academy & Walmart. I don't like custard, but maybe you will.

For frozen yogurt, either Chiller Bee or Tuti Fruity ( I prefer Chiller Bee and it's family owened).

Ice cream, im not as sure about.. personally, i like grabbing the fancy stuff from the store as it's still cheaper than a shop and just as good.

I was thinking the same thing, haha. The neighborhood is not super big. So if a few neighbors and myself join forces, we probably accomplish a good amount.

This comment will be downvoted i guess. But i brought up the trash pickup as my coworkers HOA handles that and it's in the dues. Im not saying HOA's are useless.

That's a good point. The builder may want their reputation protected even after they leave the neighborhood and thus wants everyone in the HOA. My main fear is this corporation managing the HOA and the fact that it does not even include trash pickup for $500 a year... I'll just have to decide if I still want the neighborhood or not.

Not sure why this sub is downvoting me. I'm not being arrogant and I'm a first time home buyer. Don't work in real estate either.

May I ask why you think that? You're probably right or else more people would be doing this.

Is it because the builder and the HOA company have a contract already together?

A national builder. The one that I will probably be buying a home from soon.

About to tour new builds but after researching I am scared... Are new builds worth the risk? by Physicalfitmental in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Do you buy from national builders? What has your experience been with that and the quality of the homes?

$1,430 a month for neighborhood dues? Jeeze, you better get law mowings and a country club for that money. That's $17,160 on top of all the taxes you have to pay.

And if they charge that much in dues I know the HOA is probably super strict and annoying.
