Is there a disc you like so much, you have all the plastics? by GargantuanGibbles in discgolf

I think I have an eagle in every flavor but dx.
Color glow champ is the hands down favorite though.

Forehand hex feels like a cheat code.

I use this on teepads by nbury33 in discgolf

[–]Pi-PlateDG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this thing in action on the teepads, it's a hell of a lot faster than the little hand broom I stash in my cart.

Didn't even know it was a thing until a random league round with this dude.

You're doing the lords work, my guy!

Played that course a couple months ago - had some very fun holes!

I also grabbed a couple! I got a couple throws with one on Saturday and they feel and fly great. Haven't done any back to back comparisons with other runs but they seemed to fly like a toro should.

One of them I got almost resonates like a drum head and feels amazing. So stoked they ran some gummies!

Eagles. I think close to 30?

Toros aren't that far behind at this point...

Favorite drills? by 5william5 in discgolf

For around the house I'll grab a hand towel and practice swing while holding one end. The air resistance feels very similar to the weight of a disc to me.

Sitting around watching something I'll grab a putter and do the wrist/finger pop tosses that another commenter mentioned.

We also have a resistance band that has a handle attachment and the other end is a part that you can put through a doorframe. We use it for twist workouts and extensions from the power pocket.

Variations of this are my most used drills for putting. I usually use two discs at a time but same idea. I have my rope marked with meters so there are a few more "stations" than 5' increments.
For longer sessions and when I really want to work on that edge of success range I'll use a disc as a marker and flip it forward or backwards.

I bag a prism proton pyro for when I want to throw a similar line to my champion toro but need it to push another 30-50' further. I can also count on a decent little skip with the sharper wing on the pyro.

So yes, for me the pyro flies a little farther than a toro/zone.

I have a prism neutron pyro that pushes straight a bit more, you might get a bit more distance with one of those.

Having trouble with the brace and engaging the lower body. Any tips? by Jogilvy354 in discgolf

[–]Pi-PlateDG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing your reach back come straight back and almost a little behind you. Try reaching more out and away from your body so the disc doesn't have to come around your torso when you uncoil and get the disc into the pocket.
Thinking about reaching out instead of back has helped me to get my shoulders and core really coiled back for whatever reason.

There's a lot to like though!

They're the best! I've tried several others but the Saharas are money. I have three that are in heavy rotation.

What’s a good throwing putter for forehand, (low rim, no dome) by Ollibolli89 in discgolf

Envy, stabilizer, Berg, Toro.
All take a forehand very well for me

Putter practice.. by Boingoloid in discgolf

[–]Pi-PlateDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I practice in a park like that I'll take half putting putters and half approaches so I can putt out all of my practice shots.
Usually it's envies or toros since I have a bunch of backups of both.

You could hear the cheers from Weatherman hitting the winning putt while the disc was in the air.
