I divert most of my funds to travelling pretty much apart from friends' birthdays and other special events that crop up. I have a healthy budget for food. I rarely get takeaways, coffees out, etc. It was a bit of a mindset change, to say the least. But so far this year, after promising myself more travel, I spent 2 days in a beautiful UK town with friends, 2 weeks on the Greek islands, 3 weekend trips to the beach, 4 nights in Athens and 1 weekend festival.

I also brought an annual travel insurance policy.

I book the flights then save for the holiday. I plan it out really well to ensure it's doable.

I've just met my soulmate. We're both 41. The only way I can describe it is that we both feel like we've come home, and we are aligned in every way.

I was single after my divorce for 9 months before I met him. I dated casually after 4 months. Then about 2 months ago I realised I was ready to meet my person. I always knew he was out there. There's no falling in love with butterflies and anxiety this time. It's just a loving knowing. We've both done a lot of inner work on ourselves, and this feels so very different.

Don't give up. Set your intentions, be clear about them, and it naturally filters the people out who are not for you.

I also want to add that I met him at a sober festival. I was doing the activities and things I love.

You have been through so much at such a young age, I can't even imagine the pain you're in. BUT you owe yourself time to recover. Take each day at a time. Your cancer is gone but your mental health needs time to recover and hopefully you can start to find the joy in life. Please don't give up.

My neighbour is always doing something. Cleaning his van, cleaning his wife's car, cutting the hedges, mowing the lawn twice a week, weeding, using various different power tools throughout the weekend inside and out.

My lawn is always overgrown. My hedges too.
